Elementalist 1-70 a breeze, 71-80 ehh
It gets tougher for every profession to some degree due to the high density of mobs in the Orr zones. Leveling through crafting is the best way to go for 70-80. Pick up a crafting booster at the gem store and go nuts. 70-80 took me about 40 minutes this way. Then buy some exotics with karma/gold and things get considerably less hard after that.
Yes when I got to Orr. So I said kitten this and went to Frostgorge Sound. Became way easier to lvl. And yes crafting is the best way to lvl for 70 to 80.
Smooth till 65? I thought so as well when lvling and dying to npcs thinking its normal for all classes… boy was i wrong.
I mostly lvled in lower zones with gear (masterwork) up to date every 5 lvls. Could take on lower lvl mobs 1-2 at a time, more if i used elite the one and only earth golem.
Than i talked to some rl friends… kittens lvling in zones 2-3 lvls higher taking 3+ mobs at a time just to make it interesting.
And dont get me wrong.. i LOVE the playstyle of ele’s… just stuff is way off when it comes to balance.

I agreed you hit e. and kite for 2 minutes…. And don’t kite into another mobs area if so death….

Went from 76 to 80 and only hit around 250 in Artifice. It’s fairly cheap as well. Crafting still offers great experience.
Personaly i didn´t notice considerable jump in difficulty after leaving the first few zones. Though a lot of it is propably due to me 100%ing all the zones down from LA, which ment that i overlevelled stuff from mount maelstrom onwards, hit 80 at straits of devatations.
Well that having been said, after entering orr sheer mob density makes one feel it´s a lot harder, but carefuly enough you can avoid over aggroing.
Would people please stop saying ele can´t take on multiple mobs? It can, it´s possible, it´s been done, and i think thre might even been videos about it. It´s hard, true, but entirely possible even withou 1337 elite skills. Even i, pretty average gamer, can do it.

Not all builts and gear are designed for Cursed Shores.
If you ran with tank heal D/D combo, it is easy time in Orr. 4-5 mobs easy no issue. There are variations of other builds too. Knight/Valkyrie does it, but it is missing the heal component.

I know how you feel Bond.
I can’t take more than 2 enemies on my ele and live, while on my necro I TRY to pull as many as I can, just for the hell of it. 7-10 enemies at once (with a veteran or two) is easily accomplished through kiting and aoe damage

sounds like something is wrong. I am an average Joe trying to learn the class, but I can sit on pile of corpses when fighting regular same level mobs (they die way before I can complete my combos). Veteran + two adds: adds die before combo completion if I am able to group ‘em in the same spot, Vet will survive the first combo chain, but not the second. Didn’t try Champs yet, will do that once I get all traits (more than 20 levels!) and good gear (I am running with white basic gear mostly).
Oh, I use D/D.
Well, if you run scepter/dagger you have an opening ranged attack with Dragon’s Tooth that does decent damage. If you open with Ring of Fire, Dragon’s Tooth and Phoenix to pull, you get combos for might, two ranged hits before he comes to you, a Flamewall the mob has to run thru to engage you in melee and you are waiting with Fire Grab. Switch to Lighting for some quick no induction dps. If you need healing jump to Water. If you need knockdown, cripple and massive dps and bleeds jump to Earth. Don’t forget to dodge and keep moving. If you need range, use Ride the Lightning. Range and bleed with Stone Shards. Use Phoenix for Endurance regen to keep your dodges up. Rock Barrier for defense. Dust Devil and Blinding Flash for damage reduction. There really isn’t a skill in Scepter/Dagger you can’t throw in there alone or in combination with something else. Most take no time to cast at all and are good for something too. If you are in that attunement, why not cast it while you are there? Or as the saying goes, “Fire Everything.” You can get some nice burning and bleeds going. This will help make leveling in 71 to 80 areas alot of fun imo. Try differnet skill sequences. Worked for me anyways lol.
