Elementalist Armor Advice
You can start running dungeons now so that you have enough tokens to buy the exotics when you hit 80. If you want to test different armour buy greens for a few silver and see how the stats affect your gameplay. If you avoid the frantic leet players you should be able to get suited up in exotics without too much trouble if you enjoy dungeons. If not then do some world events and break down the rares you get (they will give ectos since you are 70). Use the money to buy the exotics you want.

I’d recomment AC, COF, CM runs:
AC you’ll get a good set of survivaly gear
COF you’ll get a dps set gear
CM magic find gear
Hello. Just started this game 3 weeks ago, so I’m not super familiar with all the lingo and customs used by hardcore players. I’m not a hardcore player of Guild Wars, so please don’t expect me to automatically know the acronyms everyone uses, and I don’t care enough to be upset by people calling me a noob or whatever. That said…
Don’t worry; this isn’t the Tarnished Coast server, where every noob question is met with eye-rolling, groaning and every other expression of irritation.
Honestly, Elementalist support isn’t all that in demand given that most dungeon content is best rolled with high damage builds/gear and proper dodging. If you want full damage with a pinch of +healing, go full Beserker’s (power, precision, crit damage) and use a healing/vitality food buff and a sharpening stone, relying on your traits to provide the remaining healing bonuses. Otherwise, something more survivable would be Knight’s (power, precision, toughness). If you still think it would be fun to go support, take a few pieces with +healing (but not too many).
Also, if you want to seriously support your friends in dungeon environments, you’ll have to take Staff instead of D/D.
I’ll say what others are saying because it’s true: I recommend against magic find gear unless you’re seriously interested in farming; if you take the magic find stat, you’re sacrificing for another, more useful stat that could provide needed viability in a dungeon (or WvW if you get tired of dungeons, which could happen fairly quickly). You’ll get enough money and gear running dungeons without magic find; it’s not nearly as significant as it was in, say, Diablo II. You can then use this money to buy the crafting materials you need for anything else.
