Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone,

So I started playing last night and have been playing the elementalist. Fun enough so far until tonight. I reached level 10 and my personal story came up and had be go to the tavern in Salma District in Divinity’s Reach to talk to the barkeep and his daughter. I finished beating up the bandits and the boss. I went downstairs and the screen changed to the “cut scene” background where your character is conversing with someone.

Unfortunately, no characters showed up and the screen just stays there. The buttons “next” and “skip to end” were available at the bottom of the screen. I kept hitting “next” in hopes that it would prompt the dialogue to start, but no such luck. I rebooted my computer and logged back in with the same effect. I tried the “skip to end” option and it worked. While I can now progress my game, I missed out on a part of my character’s personal story at the start and can’t go back. This not a very good first impression for me. :-(

Has anyone else run into this bug and figured out a fix? Any help is appreciated!

Your personal story depends on which race and background choices you made, not which profession you choose. Regardless, I believe this belongs in the bugs section of the forum, certainly not here.
