Guild Wars 2

I currently play and really enjoy thief at the moment, but I’ve been thinking about ele lately and love flashy abilities. I looked up some builds but everything I find is either old (from the days of celestial stuff) or doesn’t take tempest and/or staff. Does anyone have any ideas on a good ele PvP build primarily for sPvPthat uses a staff and/or tempest spec? I want to play the class but only with one (or both) of those and I can’t find something on my own that works. Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I also don’t want to be primarily support, I want to be able to deal damage and survive in general sPvP.

Staff has a hard time to deal damage in pvp because oponents evade your attacks….

It combinse offence and support. The 60 sec cooldown on mistform and armor is high, but these are your stunbreakers and defence. You can use lighning flash instead of mistform if you like or even another shout but i like to have a savestomp and its an invul stunbreaker if they try to cain CC and focus.
The build has OK damage + good condi removal and support. You can overload air often with fresh air.

Fresh air is lots of attunement swaping. So not the real beginners trait. But it can do serious damage. If you want more damage use maurauders amulet. But the healing will get significant lower.

It was fun but after a couple of matches I was like “nah not my cup of tea” xD I think my next stop is mesmer, those illusions look fun.

S oenjoy. I recognizedi can´t handle mesmer well …… But i guess i did´t try enough.
I play ele main and warrior secondary for some CC fun and huge hits. Mesmer, Thief, Guard are ready but i rarely use them. :-)

I tweaked the build changed some water and tempest stuff and switched air to fire, less mobility but nice sustain and the damage is incredible as S/F, gonna try staff and see how it goes but I think I found a very nice build tweaked from what you gave me

You say you want damage but also Staff?
That’s a hard one to mix together. Staff is just bad for damage on any moving target (Which is 99% of sPvP). You can’t lock down someone inside your ground AE and can only rely on your overloads to do damage.
If you want damage, you should use Scepter + Focus.

It’s support but still can pack a wallop because of Overload Air or you can just Magnetic Aura the living kitten out of any projectiles heavy specs.
