Guild Wars 2

So I just came back to GW recently. It’s been MONTHS since I played and I’ve never touched Ele before now.

I’ve been trying to find decent posts/guides about the various Skills/builds that can be purchased. I see that PvE builds are sort of just “play what you feel like” but I’d still like to get some tips on skill purchasing. Are there any that I should focus on over others?

for pve:

arcane shield
mist form
arcane wave
glyph of lesser elemental (earth golem is very tanky, helps you against stronger monsters)
signet of fire (try not to use the active)
signet of air (if you need to travel on foot)
and maybe glyph of storms. (used on earth attunement it blinds foes)

everything else is useless early on.
