For me, as of right now; Elementalist feels very bunky in PvP. Almost to the point of the pre-april 15th patch that allowed them to wear celestial and actually do well. It made the people who were good at ele have something to show for it. Then it got out of hand and it felt as if you could jsut face-roll. Before the april 15th patch what I remember about ele was: You either went so bunky that you hit like a feather and would still get out manned in all 1v1 or you went full zerk and still were outmanned because you would go down like a sheet of paper. I don’t think ele/tempest is quite there but it eventually will get pushed even further into the bunk corner which isn’t fun. Tempest is very easy to play to begin with and is team-oriented. Sure, I’ve won my fair share of 1v1 on my ele, 1v2 even but on tempest it doesn’t feel as great. Maybe it’s just me. MY favorite combo was using staff on my ele, and if that didn’t work I used d/d. I dislike d/f, I don’t feel as mobile as d/d could be.
I;m actually choosing my necro over my ele when in the beginning ele is all I would play. Elementalist was my 1st character from launch, was always my go to and was my favorite. Anyways, this is just one persons opinion.

Condi meta in PvP makes playing your necro more worth while. I don’t play PvP anymore because they removed my celestial amulet instead of just nurfing it like they should have done. The conditions in PvP are absurd and its not even fun to play right now because of it. So I’ll just keep playing my ele in WvW where its still a lot of fun and might return to PvP one day when they decide to nurf conditions into the ground.

If i play unranked i want to play and have fun and not throw the game that´s not even decided ….
I started with ele and stick to it… Well recently i learn warrior and its very funny with poert war. I play non meta ele and i still hope for some buffs to non meta ele … We can just dream …
