Hi I just thought I’d share this build I’m using atm, it has decent healing a nice hp pool while still having high toughness [2.1k most of the time with protection up a lot of the time]
it does pretty good damage once you’ve killed a few people and stacked some power/cond dmg and is probably the tankiest char in the game with 2.1k toughess[2 skill on earth keep it up 24/7] and u wanna be switchin to a attunement blowin the best cd’s then switching out asap for the buffs and when ya need healing or condition removal just pop water hit 4/3/5 that should give ya a nice chunk of hp and remove 2 conditions and give ya some regen
I tend to use the water attunement or fire to summon my lesser elemental [water gives chill effect and fire does nice damage] earth one sucks in pvp and wind aint to good really
I tend to start fights in electricity 3 for a quick blind, 4>straight into the fight and hit 5 to blow everyone back and get 13 seconds of swiftness switch to fire hit 4/5 for fire ring + some nice dmg if it caught em, switch straight into earth for protection and added condition dmg/toughness [you shouldn’t have to use 2 as unless you’ve lost all the fragments as this should be put up in downtimes] pop 3 for a quick blind then 4 for your aoe knockdown then 5 for big bleeds/dmg aoe [usually pop ur active armor of earth cantrip here to avoid knockdown etc] and by now you will prob need some healing, go water cycle through heals with chill armour up and the passive regen/heal from switching also if you dodge in this attunement because of the 30 trait in arcane you will cleanse a condition and heal for a decent amount, then cycle back to fire stack some burning and make sure to use phoenix for the vigor regen /condition cure and repeat [alternating between burning/bleeding should give you a little removal protection]
Also whenever you feel like you need some CC and ur cd’s are all blown pop hammer of lightning..this is uber the auto attacks are quick [1 1/2 second in total for all 3 hits to land]and 3rd hit does a small aoe blind! put a stunfield down with 5 that lasts 4 seconds and stuns anyone who walks into it for 2 seconds [ppl can be multistunned]..and you can knockback like a guardian using banish..you get a leap finisher and a lightning combo field …this combo field is very good at the start of a match for using with blast finishers to build a big amount of mass swiftness for your team so they can get to their destinations quickly before the other team [one blast finisher = 10 seconds of swiftness] so drop the lightning field then quickly drop the wep and spam ur blast finishers:) – dont forget u summon a hammer in ur hands and one at the target so dont be afraid to use all the cd’s drop it then pick the second one up a bit later when the cd’s are back up..=] [they arent that long 25 seconds being longest]
Also you have tornado for defending/atking points which is extra knockback/stability/damage and really is very helpful for your team when your trying to cap a crucial point, or if your alone defending a point this could get you a extra almost 20 seconds, just dont pop it when your low hp as you can still be killed and make sure you go into water/earth attunement for your 10% extra dmg/protection/toughness/regen/chill armour/instaheal/conditionremover[all passive except chill arm] before you use it.
Don’t flame this:) i know there’s a lot of text it’s more of a guide with a build and I hope it helps some people wanting to point defend as ele is one of the best, we have the most cc by quite a bit and high area damaging spells and very easy access to high toughness/high protection/regen upkeep/high mobility/decent condition damage [burning and bleeding]/pets/stability/easy healing & condition removal
The build can be modified to suit your playstyle but i’d recommend keeping 30 in arcane whatever you do.
The reason i use soldiers amulet is for the extra hp/toughness and damage sits around 19.25k hp which is nice for soaking up some extra dmg and surviving that bit longer, I could have gone for a condition amulet but it felt like i was losing to much hp or toughness to then be tanky to both direct dmg and conditions, this is why i use the undead runes to help get some more condition dmg/toughness and the +condition&power damage on kill sigils, once these are stacked you will be doing high mixed dmg [power and condition]
