Im trying to do the new Southsun Jumping puzzle- what can I use to grant my Elementalist stability? I cannot seem to find a way.

The utility skill Armor of Earth grants 6s stability.

The elite skill Tornado grants 15s stability (stripped on exiting tornado).

The grandmaster major trait “Rock Solid” grants 2s stability on attunement to earth.

The adept major trait “Earth’s Embrace” grants 6s stability at 50% health (though that’s not going to be very useful for you).

Aaaand you can avoid them with Focus Earth 5 and Mist form invurneabilities.

Elementalist prolly has the most tools to avoid those “puzzle/trap” situations in fotm and i guess in a jumping puzzle. And ofc you can dodge through.

I assume you are talking about the Skipping Stones puzzle in north-west Southsun Cove. You don’t actually need stability for that, as long as you time all your jumps correctly.

I finished it with my elementalist without using any stability skills (after maybe an hour of trying, learning and practicing). The only skill I used was the 10% passive speed bonus from my Signet of Air.
But I hated it whenever someone gave me swiftness halfway through the jumps, because it caused me to miscalculate my jump distance.

I couldn’t get through on the geysers, so I used Dulfy’s shortcut and then walked across the few geyser towers between me and the 1st ship. It was tricky and I got burned off the edge quite a bit, but way better than trying to go through the geysers.

I hope ANet starts doing a timed/non-timed way up in future jumping puzzles instead of just timed.

And didn;t you get the exploiter achievement for it? I’m starting to understand why those chests have such bad loot…

As for OP’s issue…get One With Air and all your problems will be solved. That trait alone makes all jumping puzzles so much easier(also because random speed buffs don’t screw you over).
