I took 5-6 months away from game and came back. I forgot how much the Elementalist talks… Is there a way to make him less chatty during combat?

Only fight against groups okitten, that way you’ll only last 2-3 seconds.

Ahaha! So true dude. My elementalist annoys the crap out of me. Actually, usually I turn the sound off and run iTunes for my music. If that slows down your computer, you can always get an iPod or something and listen through that.

Also, I may be mistaken but I think there is a particular volume for spoken word. You may be able to turn it off, or extremely down. I do pvp a lot and it hasn’t handicapped me so far, but if you’re really hardcore, maybe my ideas are no good.

I could listen to Nolan North all day. He has already voice acted like almost every game I own HAHA. Plus when I hear a male human talk, all I think of is Nathan Drake from Uncharted xD

but I’ve noticed norn females talk a lot less than other ele races. We just either whisper air, or shout EARTH, or whatnot. not really a whole phrase I guess

Turn him into a female with total make over kit. You should like it way more even if she talks too much.

90% of the time I play without sound. I should crank up the volume!!

I actually really like when my character says “Feelin’ Hot!”. I think the vo brings alot of personality to the class. I actually wish my mesmer said something cool from time to time when i activate a shatter.

Yea my warrior doesn’t say as much. Just the occasional “Urge to kill rising”. Other than that it’s just a bunch of “Rrrahhhh”, “Ahgggh”, “Errrrgggg” and other ambiguous random grunts and groans.

I love the elementalist chatter lool.

I have a female Human Elementalist (of course!) and it sounds cool.

I think the coolest Voice phrases are from Male Asurans though:

Rocks and stone will break your bones.
I have ignition!
Severe weather warning!
Now they’ll feel my turbulence!

I never realised quite how vocal the Ele was until doing some dungeons with a friend in the same physical room. Friend had sound on, and all I could hear was "spark to flame!" and "water!!!" from my character (female asura).
I guess I just tune it out when playing myself - in PvP I’ll occasionally spot an Ele coming because they’ll shout something while approaching behind an obstacle, though.

I’ve never had an elementalist, that will change, but I’ve always loved being around asura elementalists and hearing them say : “Geological forces at my command!” Always made me think “Oh kitten , crud is about to get geological up in here…”
