I have one more suggestion regarding Ride the Lightning though. To use it as an evasive skill, you need to turn off auto-targeting in the interface settings, clear your target and then use it. That way it will take you in the direction you’re facing rather than back to your target.
In my opinion it depends on the situation if you want to use it offensively or save it to get away quickly. I use it both ways.
