Hello all, what would be the best weapon to use as elementalist ? best dps output ?

I think (no pro here)
Best dmg output would be S/D
For fast paced “in your face” style: D/D
“Easy” mode full of support: Staff

If you’re asking this in order to be sure to choose THE best weapon set, I’m telling you: There is no best weapon set. Each of them have their pros and cons and their uses in different situations.
But yeah I think S/D has the best dmg potential of all.

There is no “best” weapon. It depends on what you want to do. D/D is widely regarded as a very versatile weapon, but Staff is pretty good too.

Best dps output is no doubt glass staff. Best burst output is no doubt glass S/D. If the fight last more than 10s, glass staff > glass s/d.

BTW, that’s for end game contents. I’m not sure if you’re new or not. If you’re looking for a leveling weapon, then pick either staff or d/d.

just get all of them tbh XD
for WvW zerging staff+scepter(to clear sieges inside only needed like 1% of the time)
for WvW roaming D/D high dps output+high moveability
for PvE (dungeons) staff for beginners/big targets, d/f for high dps+ control, s/f more blast finishers
for PvP D/D or D/F mostly, you don’t really need to get the wep for it though with the pvp gearsystem

Hey and thanks again for the replys Sunshine, yea im “kinda” new to the game, haven’t got a lvl 80 yet, and haven’t played it much but i will begin to do it more now. I will start a new elementalist and just wanted to know what would be best to lvl up with, and i see u say staff or d/d, so yea i guess i will get staff or d/d, i won’t worry about end game stuff atm anyways so, but again ty for the help.
