Playing as an asuran Ele i have noticed something, we have NO spell like elites. Our too main elites are tornado form, which usually gets us killed because it puts us into melee, and Fiery Greatsword, which also gets us killed because it puts us into melee. OUr other option is Summon Greater Elemental, which gets us killed because it agros everything.

So… Where is our elite firestorm or something? Why didn’t we get a glyph of superior elemental storm calling that called a truly effective comet, avalanche, lightning bolt, boulder or whatever that did stuff that was actually useful? Seriously, I love my ele but I find myself NEVER EVER using any of my elites as they just get me killed.

But when I chosed to play Mage of Elements I though rather of being a distant range spellcaster, not a tornado ESCAPING from mobs not to get killed :>

I wanna awake a vulcano and make a wall of earth to border from incoming enemies. Instead I am invited to fight on close distance.

I already HAVE cool weapons. But I can summon some other, not even able to attune with me. I feel like a warrior who got elite skill like:
“Scepter of Blatazar: summon a powerfull banner casting lightnings and your targets and giving might to allies” But wait. Banner and Balthazar seem Warrior like, but range fighting and support role?

Same here: I am elementalist and I don’t want to fight in melee (with full vunerability!) I don’t want weapons, which cannot switch attunments with me.

Elites should boost you, ADD to your abilities. Instead they REPLACE it with something hardly any Ele can find use for :/

Balthazar casting lightning with a scpeter is just as likely as Charr starting to worship Dwayna.

I can’t wait until ANet releases the game promoted in the manifesto.
Until that, I’ll play GW2.

I like the elemental. I don’t bother with any of the other skills, because the elemental is so versatile.

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.

The storyline golem laser would be a great elite skill, though the damage would likely need to be toned down.

Would be neat if Tornado changed based on Attunement. How cool would it be if you saw a giant pillar of flame coming at you because the Elemetalist used Tornado in Fire Attunement.

I love our elites. Each has a set purpose. Glyph of Elemental summoning is amazing. I always use it in water attunement. That ice elemental is like God mode while he’s alive. He heals and chills enemies. He can take a beating as well. Firey greatsword is good if you duo with a guardian in pvp. It’s also good if you go S/D and you have a task where you have to destroy objects. It destroys objects much faster than S/D skills. Tornado is god awful on land but underwater its AMAZING. It does like 80k damage underwater. Even at 80 I try to pull as many guys as I can and use it to kill them all.
Asura elites are horrible. I am also a Asura. The power suit makes me cry. The offensive golem hits less than our lesser earth golem and the defensive golem just doesnt last long enough to make it worth a elite.

If only it wasn’t made out of wet paper towels, both HP and damage dealing wise.

I think Rodgort’s Invocation would be great as an elite skill. That thing rocked kittens in GW1.

I agree. I think the elemental is good power wise but it seems out of place design wise.

I think an Arcane Attunement Elite spell would be pretty cool. I’ve seen a similar thing suggested before. It would basically be a Form type duration Elite skill, based on our arcane spells.

1. Arcane Blast (1 second CD, autoattack)
2. Arcane Wave (8 second CD)
3. Disintegrate (channeled beam spell that deals massive damage over several seconds, 15 second CD)
4. Arcane Power (Grants Arcane Power to yourself and nearby allies, 30 second CD)
5. Arcane Shielding (Grants Arcane Shield to yourself and nearby allies, 45 second CD)
