Elementalists in raids
Although I don’t know how good of a healer the Druid will be. I found a nice healing build over the last beta that does a ton of healing. So idk about you guys, Ima be playing a healing tempest
Honestly if tempest was optimal group support in pve I’d be hype for that but it still seems lack luster to me. Are you using staff or dagger/warhorn? if you could I’d like to see this you’re thinking of using

For example you might not run Shock and Aftershock, I just run it because it is very useful in WvW.

We will see how much overlap there is between druid and Elementalist. If Druid can do Ele’s job better then I find it hard to imagine that Ele will have a place.
But really it is all speculation until things are finalized. I hope they have a place in raids.
I’m honestly wanting to stick to my zerker staff build to fill a dps role haha I really just want to be a crazy dps fireball turret but I understand if that won’t work in raids. I can totally see ele staff dps not working in raids for survivability reasons and bosses being highly mobile making lava font and meteor ineffective. Thanks for the build friend! I’d honestly love for HoT to open up doors of viable pve support builds.
From what I’m understanding, the zerker meta is going away, not zerker itself.
As in, there’s probably some form of a tank and healer role in raids and the DPS would still slot full zerker.
It would be incredibly stupid to turn the meta upsidedown and remove the viability of a stat set altogether.
I’m really hoping that is what is happening here. I’m just a little worried about dps eles and thieves remaining viable in raid content.
unlike other classes ele does max dps at 1200 range. Considering at least some of those bosses in raids will be too hard to 100% melee, ele is guaranteed to have couple spots in the raid party. ele range dmg is like at least double of what the other classes can do. Ice bow still destroys bosses. It gives massive amounts of might, fury and water fields on demand. You may need a piece of tough/vit gear here and there maybe to survive, but overall imo at least 2-3 out of 10 spots are reserved for ele (i think 5 will be meta). 5 ele for damage, 1-2 guards for reflects/aegis, 1 war, 1 stealth, 1 support/utility (druid, revenant) – thats probably what raid party will look like . Its just a guess ofc, but with such huge range dps some spots are guaranteed.

that is exactly what I’m hoping for ele with the other positions being less rigid. a more flexible meta would be great for the game!
