Who thinks elementals should become permanent ‘pets’ for elementalists, i mean depending on an elementalists build, the elemental is their last line of defence, they may not be able to hold their own against for example a small mob or in PvP, just saying i think that they should become permanent, mesmers get clones and phantasms yes, well i know they arent permanent but they can constantly be spawned to keep the mesmer from taking the aggro, rangers have permanent pets which in some cases can be extremely powerful and tough whereas elementalists get their elemental for what? a minute then they are open to be attacked, even necromancers get their pets permanent, (i keep saying pets but you know i mean minions etc) and necromancers when played properly are nearly impossible to kill so i think its fair to let elementalists have their elementals permanently… who agrees? Just stating my opinion…

I´m not against this, but i don´t think elementals are weak as they are either.

No. We’re not a pet class and I don’t want to be a pet class.

And Necromancers are not “nearly impossible to kill”.

I said in some cases when people know what they are doing, they can keep themselves alive very efficiently thats what i meant by that Intigo, and yeh you are right strange but i mean for weaker players who play leisurely maybe and as i said, i was merely stating my opinion it wouldnt hurt to have that ability to summon an elemental that doesnt disappear

No, I wouldn’t want it to be permanent. I like to use the elemental sometimes. It changes game play tremendously when I do. The earth elemental does a spectacular job of drawing agro. The others have their benefits too.

And, because it can change game play so much, that is exactly why I would not want to have one all the time. Pve would turn into an AFk fight and a race to see if I can stand still and burn down the mobs before they burn down my elemental lol. That’s not fun and the balance of the game has been drastically affected. I like having one handy for those binds when I pull too many mobs or run into unexpected spawns and fast respawns. But, I don’t want him up all the time.

I think fixing the bugs on the CDs will be enough (the one that makes the cd start when the elemental dies + the cd reduction trait which works partially )

How is that a bug? If it didn’t start when the Elemental died then you would only have 36s downtime when traited.

Also, they fixed the cooldown reduction?

I would like an active ability when my elemental is out. Like fire = create a fire field at targets location. Air = blind nearby foes. Water = create a heal field at or water trident owners location. Earth = knock down nearby foes.
