Guild Wars 2

Hello, first of all I would appreciate if mods kept this thread in this ‘elementalist’ section.

I recently decided to roll an elementalist and ever since I’ve fallen in love. I have created this guild for anyone else that enjoys the elementalist and plans on sticking with them through patches thick and thin. My goal is to have a guild full of elementalists where we can enjoy talking about builds and the like, whilst also rolling over people in wvw and pve events. I’ve already started researching some upgrades. We’ll have an emblem soon, most likely I’ll be incorporating each of the elements in it. If you guys have any thoughts, feel free to share.

An Elementalist only guild? Awesome. Invite please!

Just a little information about me. My main prior to my ele was my asura warrior, fully geared with 100% map completion. However, I plan on making the ele my main now and will again hit 100% map completion hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks. The guild may be slow to start, but I assure you by Mid-december we’ll be recruiting in full force and probably have quite a few of the upgrades.

Currently we’re just in north american servers and will be staying in these. As we get enough people, we can settle on a server for those willing to move.

Oh, this would be awesome. I wonder if this would lag the area if we all did it simultaneously?

I’m also going to put some thought into the emblum. A circle is the obvious choice… but will we go with an “oppositional” arrangement (Fire across from water, air across from earth, probably with air above, earth below, water to the left, fire to the right), or maybe the classic Greek arrangement, with Earth at the center, surrounded by Water, surrounded by Air, surrounded by Fire? I tend to prefer the oppositional, myself.

I’d be pretty interested.

That said, alts should be welcome, as long as they’re played by elementalist-knowledgeable players. E.g., I’d love to have AoE heals and regens going on my minions as I play necro. I’d also like to figure out a way (which I haven’t yet) of ensuring that my Bone Minions actually blast finish inside combo fields.

Of course alts are welcome. The theme of the guild is elementalists so it’s focusing on people who enjoy eles, but it’d also be great to have other classes that work well with eles for pvp too.

Ouch, so slight complications. Haven’t made an emblem before but after looking on line a bit, you can only have one back ground (single color) with one symbol (two colored) so we have to pick from here. I really thought I would be able to draw one-was going to use the element symbols of the last airbender

We’ll just have to rely less on color and more on shape, then. How exactly are emblems made, anyway? I just threw my thing together in MS Paint.

Yea, so from that wiki page posted earlier, you can pick 1 back ground, with 1 color, and then 1 symbol, that is split into 2 colors.

The flame symbol is a bit too specific to a single element, IMO. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Guild_emblem_007.png is also cool, but it feels more like a mesmer thing than an elementalist thing. Finally, you’re right: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Guild_emblem_106.png IS cool, and somehow, it feels right, though I have no idea why.

Anyway, put the elementalist symbol against this background and you’ve got four points to go with the symbol.

For the background I vote for number 2, and I like the emblem that Death Reincarnated suggested

First background. Second emblem. Death Reincarnated’s emblem is a good second choice for me.
