Fire shield
Well it’s a terrible trait in the first place. And then the real question is why take it?
so far if you wanna use a decent barrier try earth and air barrier. good reflect and condition removal from earth and the beloved stun effect whit some speed buff from air.
Flame barrier is a aura and aura do not stack. It is the worst aura too, Might(~1%dmg) and burn, the barrier only last for 3sec. It has a cd as long as frost aura(10% dmg reduction and chill) 7sec duration but a worst effect. The effect does not seem to work on multiple enemies. The internal cd seems to stop flame barrier from giving you might, if you have 3 people attacking, you should get 3-9stacks of might (if you survive the dmg). The flame barrier trait is useful for a aura build but you still need 3water or 6 arcane for survival. One of the build I used for wvw roaming was a 5-6-0-3-0 S/D build with arcane/signets for utilities. Which tended to be a good burst build.

ya know why doesn’t signet of air give you an air aura instead of a fire aura? Same goes for the signet of water, signet of earth… its just…. why?
thats not my point the fire 20 trait should stack in duration when you activate a sig. i honestly want them to be all fire aura so i can proc blinding ashes
I agree. Fire aura is kind of lackluster
I never understood why it was named : Fire “shield” . That ain’t no shield . It is not protecting you from anything , nor makes the foe hesitate to attack you because he will suffer the consequences .
Fire shield …. Lol …. more like Useless Wannabe Shield =)))

elemental shielding lets it give you the protection boon for a bit.
The Frost Aura stacks duration. Fire Shield does not, even though there are more ways to activate it (signet-aura traits). I wish sig-aura builds were viable…. Maybe if they made an “aura gives vigor” trait in the water line or something
The idea of getting vigor from a aura does not make since. A aura is used when you are about to get hit to help yourself. Not when you are about to dodge.

I like remove condi on hit :p the only real way to get condi remove is water 30 this wuld give us another reliable way

Not really.. Vigor helps you to regenerate endurance faster. Suppose you used your dodges a few seconds before and you need some in the next 5 seconds. Vigor from aura’s will get you your needed dodges while protecting you for those ~5~ seconds.
:)
Yea you are right but renew stamina can give you permanent vigor as long as you have enough crit. I like mystogan idea of condition remove with fire shield or other auras.

I use same traits diff runes and armor i have like 2.6k att 2.5k tough and 15k hp or somethin like that and 33% crit chance and 191% crit dmg or domethin
Fire shield is a condition aura, as it deals condition damage in the terms of 1s burn. If you think its bad its because your probably running it not to the fullest in a power or hybrid build. Yeah the might isn’t very relevant but there are sick synergies being an aura in the first place.
