Hello guys,

is it viable/good/amazing to use focus as off-hand for the 0/0/2/6/6 celestial build? I’ve only heard about D/F builds for PvE so far. From the top of my head I cant see anything that would screw up the regular D/D mechanics. I was playing with the idea of switching my off-hand dagger to focus when the enemy team setup requires so. (If you need extra projectile defense: earth&air #4, or if you get spiked a lot earth #5 and so on… Water #5 is nice too, but hard to land in a 1v1.)

yep u can use it, focus adds more support due to air 4, wich is awesome in teamfights and locks out a lot of ppl, especially lich necros get annoyed by it, they literally just wasted a 180 s elite! (most necros will still spam 1(experienced it a lot) , smart ones either close lich form asap or use the mark skills or the push back of chill while ur air 4 is up, any way, it can disable lich form for 7s , wich is huge considering lich gets nerfed to 20 s)

power longbow sniping rangers either, most ranged stuff literally

(i just mentioned air 4 coz unexperienced ppl always waste it along the way cause’it looks awesome’, other skills should be pbvious )

anyway, u can use focus w the standard build, u just loose a lot of offensive power tho, and mightstacking could get more difficult cause its not a ring anymore

Focus mix very poorly with 00266 cause this trait set up is already super tanky.
Focus is way more survivability oriented than dagger, so it allows you to build more offensive (and you really should cause you won’t be a threat for anyone if you dont ^^’)

Focus can’t also pressure very well, a warrior thats hammering into you with his hammer will pretty much have free game.

I changed from D/D to D/F and i have to say i’m surprised i like it. Fire 4-5 need some dire work and Earth 5 is great when you are in middle of a WvW zerg battle royale too. Air 4 is awesome for when you are charging in an the ranged classes are spamming their 1.

Water 5 is hard to use so if the enemy is chasing me or what not i dodge behind the enemy which 9/10 he will stop turn around which will give your Water 5 a chance to land.
