Hello everyone. I wondered if at any moment ArenaNet will relocate to Elementalist d / d in place. Currently it is regrettable that only serve to give support in melee. This feature and the distance to the staff. At the beginning of the game the Elementalist to Daggers was a very good and fun option. Towards damage he had good healing and great mobility. Currently does not hurt, does not have much healing (especially because there are so many stacks of conditions that never get clean at all if you want to hurt) limited the scope of the ride the lightning, if not impatas now have double recharging (when other characters like warriors do not have that handicap), plus now can not use jumping, so that was removed another little trick that had the Elementalist. If one wanted to put the Elementalist as a traditional magician it would have been better not poenrle daggers. It saddens me to see how my Elementalist Daggers obsolete in all aspects of the game, pve, MVM and pvp. Becoming a healer as much in other games (so that there would aki healers …) Well, maybe someone ArenaNet deigns to indicate that road will continue with the Elementalist … because in view of new games much will depend on what they have planned.

Oh? Isn’t fresh air D/Wh one of the elementalist metabuild in raid? Sure you gotta take the tempest traitline but since HoT this traitline is almost a given…

From what I know, as long as dps goes, Dagger air auto is the highest normal target dps (probably only beaten by thief) and fire staff against large target is top dps in game.

The issue in pvp is more that ele are stuck in support nich due to a lack of survivability than anything. Like I said a little while ago, the elementalist only need tools to create windows of opportunity to be viable at anything else than support. It just happen that the elementalist’s survivability tools are not selfish enough to be able to play anything else in pvp than support. (The irony is that the necromancer is the exact opposite and he suffer even more than the elementalist from it)

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.

Dagger Fire #1 is higher than Air #1 if you land all 3 projectiles.

I wouldn’t say they are highest in game among all classes though — not without some more research.

Part of me thinks that someone in ANet was thinking “hey, wanna see something funny? Watch this…”
