I just noticed yesterday that they nerfed Glyph of Storms [Earth] badly… was it in any patch notes that I’ve missed?

Before, you’d get an AoE causing blind and bleed every sec for 10 sec. Now the blind only occurs every 3 sec or so.

This is a huge issue currently, I can’t pull 10~20 or more and AoE the crap out of them!

It was 3 sec before, there was no nerf made to it

AFAIK, sandstorm never blinded/bleed every second but every 3 seconds but I’m probably wrong. It seems to bleed every second…but I’m not that experienced with the skill, my glyph build is probably about a month old.

Hmm weird, I’m pretty sure I tested it back some time ago…
I had given up on the skill when I first tested, then people recommended me saying it’s good for the conditions, then I tested the Earth one and though “I’m invincible for 10 seconds!”.

Oh well, maybe I’m just trying to pull too much now, because I don’t remember ever taking any hits except from those annoying Risen Nobles (double atks) and Eagles during the Sandstorm…

Meh, now I have no reason to take it over lightning hammer which gives me an aoe perma blind for 30 seconds and does dmg to boot.

Lightning Hammer vs Fiery Greatsword

What are your views?

Lightning Hammer better against mobs that do not drop bombs or use aoe attacks, but when I’m forced to kite enemies, Fiery Greatsword is the best conjure for the task. Both serve slightly different purposes.

Also, Greatsword works better in dungeon groups as I tend to stay away from frontlines (and lightning hammer) when in dungeons.

I dont recall sandstorm ever causing bleeds. This was probably your auto attack

It used to. I used it around a month back and it indeed caused bleeds.

Ice Storm inflicts Chilled with each shard.
Sandstorm causes bleeding each second (for two seconds) and blindness every three seconds (for three seconds) over Sandstorm’s 10 second duration.
Fire Storm and Sandstorm hit everything (up to 5 targets) inside the AoE on every tick, Ice Storm and Lightning Storm create many smaller AoE blasts.

Blind every three seconds IS effective invulnerability against a lot of enemies that attack at a rate of once every three seconds or more. It might be that you’ve just started running into things with faster attack rates.
