I’m not sure what is more impressive. The fact that we received ‘feedback’ on something or the fact that we’ll now be the most overpowered profession in the game.
Who needs evasive arcana blast finishers when you have underwater conjure weapons?

On a less sarcastic note, I really think it’s a shame that we’re approaching this with such sarcasm. If we weren’t bugged so heavily, I’d sincerely appreciate this. Though I think all the previous bug ‘fixes’ have slowly turned us eles into cynics

great idea, but OMG no. How about fixing/balancing current skills/traits rather than creating new skills with you know it, more bugs.

Ranger’s underwater is probably the weakest in the whole game by 10 folds.
But yeah, easily able to put into the game. Just enable it.
Meh. I could not possibly care less about conjures. I’ve used the frost bow… once. Because I was in a PUG with some clueless people who couldn’t figure out how to stick together and concentrate fire as a group. Ctrl + T is useless if no one bothers to assist. So I had to up my aoe DPS to save repair costs.

They will probably make those skills drop special “warrior only” versions of the conjured weapons among with some kind of a self debuff to the caster…

Are you serious, there’s almost no way to mitigate your damage when underwater vs several foes. Even 1 vs 1 is hard, everyone else has either more base def and vit.
You just can’t compare ele under water with them.
Also, I downed ranger and he got downed when he jumped in water, I was full health and all that remained was just killing him right ?
Guess what, I got owned hard, not only was killing him practically impossible because of the low damage underwater, his pet healed him much more than i could do damage, meanwhile he kept doing kittenloads of damage to me. And then I got downed and killed.
Though I’m talking about a downed ranger being op especially in water, I’m pretty sure they’re not that weak against an ele underwater, especially with that kittening pet of theirs.

So to be of any use under water in WvWs I have to slot to conjured weapons, then go pew pew & then once the job is done I can reset to the skills I normally use.

Here’s the sad thing:
If all our underwater damage was doubled across the board, we would just be “vaguely passable” underwater and still need buffs.
Underwater combat is in good shape, just need those conjure lightning spear (voltaic perhaps), magnetic trident and fiery harpoon gun and we’re good as everyone else.
How about making it so we don’t blow? Since the patch I’ve spent quite a bit of time crunching numbers, testing builds, theory crafting to see if I can come up with something for Ele… but sadly nothing that works against any player that isn’t brain dead. Our 15 point trait in water that was nerfed for some stupid reason was the thing that kept our squishy selves alive. Lowest hp, armor inability to do reliable burst, now inability to preform half as decently as any other bunker speced class. Yea we can do “great” dps but really its good for what pve where pve is face roll? But Guards can still bunker and now outheal us? I’m not saying I’m going to quit simply because I refuse to believe that anet has reduced itself to this level but seriously someone tell me what can we do other than drop conjures for better classes to use? I’m working on my Engi now and pray that they don’t get GG’d. Also inb4 ban from fourms or some crap.
Edit: Flame shield up unless that got nerfed. Maybe a mod will finally post in ele fourms now too o.o
