Guild Wars 2

I refuse to play this until atleast most of the skills are useful, as much as id love to play a true battle mage melee/magic id be happy with them dropping these skills for something that is actually useful. Anyways I have not found any info and was just curious if they had any plans to change conjuration down the road.

Considering I searched conjuration in these threads and not one person mentioned anything about a future update I did look far.

back before the pvp meta switched to super bursty, super condi based builds i was playing a Stone Heart conjure ele using lightning hammer, frost bow and fiery greatsword,

it was pretty fun, great damage and you could go toe to toe with warriors thanks to having a ton of toughness and being crit immune :P
one of my favourite memories is chasing after a big buff norn warrior with my tiny melee ele and her lightning hammer! XD

not very practical, but fun, it would be impossible in the current meta though :P
for PVE you could probably pull it off, but you’d have issues with running out of charges, in pvp you linger around a point so you’re always by the conjured weapon thats on the ground.

Why do people demand that the Ele get a close-range spec when it already has one? I swear, no one seems to play DPS Dagger Ele.

Thats not it at all, I like using real melee attacks like a true battlemage its just one of my favorite playstyles, it has nothing to do with playing a dagger build effectively.
