Healing power elementalist
Depending where: PvP or PvE?
I think, sure, it’s even ery viable.
The problem is: Who needs a dedicated healer in this game, currently? Because if you find one, Aqua Ele will rock like a regular healer in MMOs

Ye, I forgot to mention PVE.
No, PvE healing power is a nonononononononnnononononononono, it’s far the worst stat, along with condition damage.
Can you explain why you think that?
because if u wanna solo normal healings with a dps build are more than enough and balanced; if u wanna do dungeons, well then everyone there look only for the best dps… i like a healing build but i use it in wvw (with my guild)
Depends on what parts of PvE you mean.
General solo exploration, if it’s fun for you go for it.
Dungeons as long as you don’t want to do a speed run, you could probably get a group together.
Otherwise, you’re better off going with a build that’s more in line with the meta which is DPS DPS DPS.
I meant PvE as FotM and Dungeons mainly, with some world events.
I always liked the idea of being supportive, and while some months ago I used to play just dps (because of the meta as you said), I hoped that the last patch would improve other playstiles in PvE.
That kind of meta shift will simply not occur until mob AI’s become smarter and make full zerker much riskier.

A full healing ele would have trouble soloing things in PVE like map completion. It would take you so long to kill mobs that they would gang up on you and wear you down. With offensive builds a few aoes and all the trash mobs are dead.
I see, then full healing hele will never fit this meta. Thanks for the asnwers.
actually in fractals i see 3-4 days looking for a ‘healer’ (i mean in lfg)
i actually joined one of the grps to check, i didnt have cleric stuff or smth similar so i just used it w full celestial(everything celestial besides weapons) and they werent like some garbage ppl, they actually were good and could have just made a speedrun, yet they looked for heals
so i think healing could get into the meta for an ele
with the new aquatic trait and new set of monk runes, your healing output on allies is increased by 35%. (this is huge….)
lingering elements allow you to stance dancing, and if the group is closely stacked you have almost perma protection, perma regeneration , perma soothing mist and staff autoattack healing on your group.
i tried it on kohler yesterday on a low level party (they were like level 60) and we just ate all his hits. when geyzer used on spikes it tops allies completely.
it also works nicely in WWW.
I would say that healing power just became meaningful.
on the downside, my meteor shower did not do the same crits I got used to during zerker/assassin meta experimentation…
all i could do to increase party DPS is spam ice spike for perma 10% vulnerability.
edit:
thisis the build

for WWW i use leeks/lemongrass food, mist form instead of bow, and reaper of grenth instead of sword.

I did probably around 95% of map exploration on my full healing ele solo. I only had to ask for help for around 5 things.
The other remaining parts of that 5% were done when I was with friends doing things like personal story trying to get to Arah so we didn’t have to do that dungeon’s story mode more times than we had to. Or someone else happened to come up.
It just takes more time to kill things and knowing your limits.

I don’t know why people think soloing in PvE is hard. It was only difficult back when Orr was a horrible place to be in.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.

Orr was the hardest zone for me, but I’m no where near a good player. I still stand way too still. It was no where near impossibly hard. Just the right amount to make it fun.
If you don’t venture into the areas that are too hard for you and stay where it’s easy, how can you get better?
it’ll allow you to down champions quite easily but everything’s gonna take a loooooong time.
