Guild Wars 2

Hi all!

I’m currently levelling a new Alt (Being a Guardian for more than 250hours), and I chose ele – which is probably the opposite of Guardian (being squishy, ranged and using light armor).

I know ele’s are supposed to be squishy, but at level 20ish, my damage output seems low. I usually use Fire attunement and staff, but I only deal 100-200 damage. Enemies take like forever to kite.

Don’t get me wrong, I know how to kite (Being ranged class in my other MMORPGs), I certainly know when and how to dodge (practiced using Guardian) and I update my gear every 5-10 levels.

Is it supposed to be this way? When do I start getting 500ish or mediocre damage?

Currently, I put all my traits to Air (for HP, as I sometimes tend to do mobs, being used to Guardian lol)

Any advice?

well i wouldnt use staff as main weapon u should use that as ur secondary tbh and aswell for ur main weapons use scepter/dagger its like verry burst damage at lvl 20 i was literally hitting 1ks. so easily i was going power prec condition event tho it may seem like ur squishy at times aslong as u can dodge and keep ur distance u can take out a mob before it even touches ur hp. umm wat i went first was 10 in fire trait. then i went another 10 in earth for tht armor skill forgot wat its called when u get a certain low on ur hp it activates. but yea anything else is ur choice after that

I suggest you run Scepter/Dagger or Dagger/Dagger. Staff is a range weapon so it will have less damage output then melee weapons. While eles aren’t as hardy as guardians we can still take some punishment. I posted my 2nd Video today and you can see we can take a lot of damage and dish it out.

forget about pressing two or three buttons and dealing decent damage, that’s not how Elementalist works: you can get honest results only by being a pianist that quickly moves on all four attunements making a wise use of all your available combos.
If you do not perform combos, you will struggle against even the humblest mob; on the contrary, if you correctly chain ’em you can do miracles.

I’m now using D/S and I’m doing 150ish damage consistently. Yay!

Still, I find it low, but I guess it is because I have no points on Power. I’ll try to mix+match. I get bored playing because there is no one, literally no one on low level areas

that’s kinda weird, I usually find hordes of players in low levels area whilst all the cap ppl are stuck in Orr farming their lives off.

Not on Borlis Pass. 60mins in Kessex Hills, I shouted and only 1 person responded. Saw 2 players within that 60mins, literally.

yea kessex and gend fields is kinda like ghost town literally. queensdale is ok. but less exp from events thier.
