I think this would be a cool option that should be easy to implement to make elementalists really feel like sorcerers – give an option to hide daggers (and maybe foci) so that you appear to be unarmed when using them.

FINALLY someone with the same taste. I can’t stress how much i’ve wanted to roleplay shooting stuff from my fists. I doubt they will implement this soon (or ever), but as an asura, closest I can get is using godskull daggers. Coupled with the ultra tiny size of daggers on asura, the godskull kris would look invisible.

I have said this before. Either a hide or an invisible weapon, but hide/invisible weapon should not work in PvP or WvW, since being able to see a weapon affects strategy.

The lore of the game is that weapons are how chars focus magical energies, or something like that. Unlikely that they’d throw that out 3 years into the game.

well… they never explained how out of nowhere ele where able to use a warhorn… sooooo in a way they already did.

I’ve been playing too much fire emblem lately, so it feels wrong to think about magic users that don’t use tomes or scrolls :p

Except you would know that an elementalist that appeared to not be holding weapons was using D/D. I don’t necessarily think the option should exist for other weapons.

Tome would be an excellent choice for a weapon expansion, usable by Ele, Guard, and Necro. They could add it along with the Greataxe, pike, and one or two others. For Eles it could be a long range DPS-focused weapon.

i think thats just pure gameplay mechanics

Would be nice way to construct an elementalist’s look.
