Every single meteor on meteor shower was a separate blast finisher, and what increase to cooldown/cast time would justify this kind of buff?

Of course, a more realistic buff is a 20% chance of blast finisher on it with a minor cooldown/cast time increase, or meteor shower time decrease…

I think your first idea is completely overpowered, the second idea is more plausible. However, I would prefer a 40% damage increase to Meteor shower, a 50% damage increase to Staff 1 Fire autoattack, a 20% damage increase to Staff 1 Air autoattack, and a 100% damage increase to Staff 2 Air autoattack.

That sounds overpowered, but I wouldn’t mind it. I don’t necessarily main Elementalist, but I use it. I just want some good Staff Elementalists to show up, tired of all the D/D-S/D annoyances.

50% damage buff to Fireball would be outrageous, as would a 40% increase to meteor shower. I can already crit for 5-6k meteors on berserker staff.

What staff needs is better defense and consistent damage. Ways to make lava font hit people and for eruption’s cast time and ice spike’s cast times to be halved.

Water autos across all weapons need a substantial buff. Water auto for staff needs something like a 200% boost in damage, and scepter water, fire autos need substantial buffing as well.

I want Staff Ele to be a terrifying Nuke build. If you do decide to give it survivability, then that’s fine, but Air Staff 2 requires a 100% damage buff, as it’s currently REALLY weak for channel time, and Air Staff 1 could use a bit more damage as well. Staff Air 2 is a really cool looking, and acting skill, however it does not do enough damage to justify it’s warmup. It should do a huge amount of damage, or atleast be on a shorter cooldown/casttime.

Water Staff 1 should be more of a channeled autoattack, like Mesmer GS 1. I would rather it however be a sort of healing channel, rather than a damaging one. Staff Earth should give alot more CC than it does now.

its easier to avoid a meteor shower than 1 hundred blade

its also easier to spam 1 hundred blade than meteor shower except in www on a castle wall.

You can see a lot of those pro thieves vids where they just don t even care of the huge red aoe and they don t get hit by any meteor…..

Meteor shower primary issue is:

It has lot of requirements:
-cooldown
-casting time
-no mobility while casting
-long time to start

It has no reliable effect:
-damage is quite inferior to many other professions skills
-even standing in it can result in 0 hits

Huge risk 0 reward….its a totally random skill nerfed in anet style long time ago.

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Dmg on fireball is OK as it is. dont buff it.
Instead. increase its travel speed. so it actually HIT something.

If you want a Fire spell with a Blast finish. just put that on FIRE 3. 8 sec cd.
So if a target is on fire. and you flame burst it… or sumtin.

But, dont increase dmg on fireball.. increase travel speed.

Meteor shower could have an easy fix. Fire pulse on ground. same timer as lava font.
But also keeping the random meteors dropping.

That should make sure people want to avoid the AoE, and you have the reward you want. Controling peoples paths with AoE.
