Guild Wars 2

Im a lvl 78, almost 80 elementalist. I am mostly staff but occasionally d/d since i hear its better solo. This is my first level 80 so i dont know much about endgame and gearing. My guild is saying to gear “morning” i have no idea what that even means. Can someone explain how to gear an elementalist?

You can get PVT gear is called Soldier Gear or Invader gear its same thing just named differently depending where you get it. In WvW with badges there is a vendor that sells it for badges and some gold, I think the top is 1g and that is the most expensive piece I think. In WvW it is called Invader, you can get pieces from the temples in ORR I know grenth has 2 or 3 pieces but you can look up the chart on the wiki to see where you get power, vitality, toughness from.

Are we talking PvE? Can you craft yourself as a Tailor? Do you do dungeons?

If you are low on resources, get any rare armour piece you can get to replace your green master work items. If you are looking for specific stats try to focus on more balanced stats (Knight’s, Soldier’s) and don’t spec heavily into the Condition side. Elementalists work well with balanced stats.
Due to the predictable AI of foes in PvE, many people go Berserker/Cavalier, but that leaves you very vulnerable to smarter foes (e.g. players in WvW or sPvP).

Im talking both, PvP, since you are basically given stats for free I dont really know which to choose from, atm I am fully Ogre. But for PvE I am completely lost lol. I am a jeweler but i dont mind taking up tailoring as well. I hope this helps.

would recommend a set of PVT armor + 4/6 zerker(or assassin) accessories to minmax defense and offense (is what i have: one ring PVT dont recall back peice stats) with zerker weapons
(gives me around 25% crit chance with 60% crit damage and giving me 18-20k HP dont recall exact number)
also the crit chance doesnt help at all agains some world bosses as they are immune to crits (ie dragons)

pure zerker on me just made the ele WAY to squishy for my liking (was dieing in dungeons left and right and group events also)

PVT is also really helpful in WvW where you wont be decimated right away.

personally i dont PvP much so i wouldnt know how to give advice there

Hi. I’m a lvl 80 ele, I have full zerk exotic armot setand weapons and working on exotic trinkets. I use it because it combines well with my s/d LH build. However I find it’s survivability preety low, there are some bosses that can even insta kill me if I don’t dodge well. this is why I’m using Arcane Barrier when I start my combo.
