Guild Wars 2

Learning to play ele and I find it very clunky to use the f-keys for attunements. I am simply wondering what bindings you use for them and why! Any suggestions?

(I am playing mainly PvE Staff or D/F and it should be even more important to get another binding for PvP/WvW.)

I use a logitech G600 to help with using the ele… I put f1-f5, ~ and 5 to 0 on the mouse and it makes using the ele, much easier.

Although I use a razer naga, I bind my F keys to Alt+1 Alt+2… so I can change stance, use class specific skills without moving my thumb from the 1-5 skill keys on the side of the mouse.

I have the natural keybinds of F1-F4. Only F5 that I find really clumsy but luckily ele’s don’t have to consider that.

I also use a gaming mouse (rocat). I have F1 + F4 on the top latch and bound F3 + F2 near my arrow keys which i use for moving so i can hit them with my little finger.
so i move with arrow keys and did bind sourounding ones to things like targeting + jump + F2/F3 On the mouse i have 0-9 + F1/F4.

I don’t use a high end gaming mouse so I use RTFG for attunements and ZXC for utilities.

Thanks for the tips guys, it was really getting awkard switching with f keys. I swear elementalist attunment switching reminds me of bard twisting from everquest 1 lol, as much as I loved my bard it is bad for your hands, however this isnt half as bad as the bard in eq1 so I love it.

I have caps lock for Water, Q set for fire, used to have E set for Air but kept miss clicking – Air is now Shift 3, and Earth is C
I’m Staff dps for pve so miss clicking sucked. For pvp I go back to the Air bound to E using D/F or D/W auramancer.
The binds are all relatively reliable for me, they are all within reach of one hand at WASD. I have utility’s bound to mouse my mouse buttons except the Rebound and Glyph of Elements are bound at R.
I Definitely recommend getting a mouse with 2 or more extra binds, can only help with any game. You can probably find one cheap on Amazon or eBay, I got mine on a cyber Monday deal

Z X C V Y for f1-f5 and Q E R T Mouse 4 for heal, utilities and elite. ALT to toggle between normal/action camera and f1 as special action key for raids. Works fine with all classes.
I don’t like to reach for keys or use key combinations. Y is kinda far away but still doable.
