How to get a Large Health Pool in sPvP?
any amulet with vitality on it.
that’ll get you anywhere from 16-19k health with 30 points in water.
Knight amulet+30 in water is about 22k hp if i’m not wrong, but you lose nearly all toughness.

what he said.
try and get the amulet with toughness and vitality, or, get the amulet with toughness/healing power/condition damage and slot the PVT gem.
If you’re trying to stack Vit, go with Soldier’s Ammy (and Jewel) cause it carries Power, Vitality, AND toughness.
Just Ammy, Jewel, and 30 pts in water gets you 20,245 HP, 2480 Armor, and 1840 power BEFORE any gearing or other traits.
You’ll be a kitten tank, but your attack will be decent with the power from soldiers…

Are those PvP numbers? Or maybe my Valk Amulet is the Dollar Store variety…I was thinking of going Soldier’s to balance out my toughness a bit but I’ve only got 17k HP. How are some able to go past 19k? I guess really expensive gear since mine is only a fresh lvl 80 but I’m still rather confused where all that good gear actually is. The dungeon armor doesn’t seem like it’s such a huge leap past the good crafted stuff.
Are those PvP numbers?
Yes, just talking pure sPvP numbers.
For example, in sPvP you can get 24,685 HP by wearing Knight’s ammy (and jewel) and then adding Vitality runes (e.g., Runes of Sanctuary).
Of course, this makes your other stats subpar as you’re ONLY stacking vitality, which is why I like Soldier’s jewel (cause you still end up with 20k HP, but your power isn’t total garbage). I believe all of these #’s are obtainable in PvE gear.

@ LeoG: they are. with just the solider amulet/jewel, you can get 20,245 health with no runes and 30 points in water.
however, that’s a little… excessive. tbh, i’d probably use the celestial amulet. it’ll give you 17,255 health with amulet/jewel and 30 points in water.
my favorite amulets are soldier (PVT), shaman (THC) or celestial (all).
Soldier’s amulet with its jewel would give you about 6-7k in health alone

Yea, this is sPvP gear, its stats are different to PvE / WvW.
In sPvP you have 1 amulet and 1 gem for that amulet, the other rings slots are locked. The amulet gives you most of your stats, so changing your build’s damage / tank / condition / healing is just a matter of changing that (of course your traits will not be aligned properly but this can change the tide of a battle).
Valkyries in sPvP will give you 13805 with 30 water unless you stack vit in your gear as well.
Knights and knights is 23k hp.
I’m running clerics with knights for 15k hp, I prefer the 1250 health over a bit of healing power.

shoulda said 22k+ but ya thanks for the replies. I’m usually around 17.3 or so I was just wondering how people are getting over 22k with any other actual damage stats.
