Here’s my team using an elementalist to kill slave driver in about 7 seconds and last boss in about 25 seconds (could’ve went faster. this wasn’t our best).

It’s easy. Go 30/30/10/0/0 and have trait in +weapon charge.

Summon Lightning Hammer for yourself and for your mesmer and spam 1.

Result: Mesmer and Elementalist will be hitting as hard as warrior.

what kinda damage was doing that ele with the hammer? can’t see it.

I pull out 4600 damage per lightning whip (if both hits crit), I believe hammer does even more?

According to my mesmer who used the lightning hammer, he was hitting for about 7.5k crits each on slave driver. I’m pretty sure the elementalist was hitting for more since they have more +dmg% traits.

Axe warrior here would usually had 5.7k a hit. Great Sword would be even less.

Nice. I’ve been hearing a lot about hammer recently; I’ll have to give it a shot tomorrow night when I do some CoF speed clears. I mostly rock greatsword an max out at ~ 9k, but it sounds like hammer is even better.

I’d say greatsword is better if the boss is cornered or against the wall and you use the charge and spin at point blank. I killed myself in one charge against the butcher in hotw and his retaliation.

But now I really want to try the hammer and see for myself.
Anyway, conjured weapons are underrated.

Not interested in farming CoF, but I am interested in the conjures. Feels like every time I dabble in something and put it away, someone posts a thread showing how to specialize it better than I could.

I’m thinking the only way I’ll see glyphs being used awesomely is to stop using them so someone can come behind me and show I was doing it wrong.

Under a CoF situation, Lightning Hammer would be outdamaging Warrior GS. GS is burst with its Hundred Blade but that’s only for 3.5/2=1.75s portion of TW.

In COF, consistent damage wins in overall damage. Ex: Axe Warrior just spamming 1 actually does more damage because it’s more consistent damage (axe chain does approx. 85% of Hundred Blade’s dmg in the same cast time). But elementalist can outdamage Axe Warriors with a consistent 1 spam and even offer the Lightning Hammer to the mesmer so that even the mesmer is outdmging the warrior.

I think it’s the last stike of the chain the other two should hit about 4,5-5k.
Plus when comparing with other attacks u should take into accout difference in animation speed. So the lightning hammer isn’t that ridiculously strong though the damage is kinda nice.

Using the info provided by wiki:

Chop: 252
Double Chop: 538
Triple Chop: 858

Time to complete chain: 3.5 seconds
DPS = 470.857

vs.

Lightning Swing: 358
Static Swing: 358
Thunderclap: 586

Time to complete chain: 2.5 seconds
DPS = 500.7692307692307692

Conclusion: Lightning Hammer chain > Axe chain

Now Axe chain vs Hundred Blade

In 3.5 seconds, Axe chain deals 1648 damage.
In 3.5 seconds, Hundred Blade deals 2030 damage

However, Hundred Blade only happens around every 6.4 seconds.

First 3.5 second:
Axe -> 1648 damage
Hundred Blade -> 2030 damage

Next 9.9 (time to cast Hundred Blade again) second before Hundred Blade recharges:
Axe -> 1648*2 + 3013.486 damage = 6309.486
GS -> 2030*2=4060+ (259+259+333)*2.56 =6238.56

— Conclusion: Axe deals more damage even with Hundred Blade casted twice and me ending the calculations there. In fact, I even forgot to calculate the delay for Hundred blade which is probably around .37 seconds. That would happen twice so GS would lose around .74 seconds of attacking. I’m thinking Whirlwind attack would even out the damage. But then again, a warrior can do Hundred Blade -> Whirlwind Attack -> Axe chain.

Final Conclusion: Lightning Hammer > Axe > Great Sword
