I am struggling between these two races, Human because of the racial heal that removes conditions, and Asura because well it’s an Asura!

I also struggle hardcore with naming my toons, especially Asuran names because I don’t intend to include their “Profession” infront of their name, lol….

So please help me decide and maybe suggest Asuran names, it will be a Male Asuran if that helps.

Asura all the way. Heida is the best name ever for an asura. Don’t hate on randomness. Bring random is fun specially in a game.

Asura – They’re extra-good in Spvp because most people dont recognize all of the cast animations that Asuran Eles use, since they’re different from the other races

What I do is use the same first name for all of my characters. It’s a name I’ve carried through several MMOs and I’m rather attached to it. Then I make the surname something that is related to the profession…and in GW2 all of the surnames actually rhyme with each other. For example, though, my ele’s surname is Blaze, my ranger’s is Baze (bays, like a dog), my engi’s is Braze, my mesmer’s is Haze, my warrior’s is Raze, my thief’s was Quickfadze but then I remade it (wanted to change to a Sylvari) and now it’s Shadze, and my guardian’s is Savze. My necro is the exception, having no surname in GW2…though in GW1 I had necros with the surnames Decaze and Gravze.

This way the names refer to the professions but aren’t as straightforward as Engineer Eroiqua, Ranger Eroiqua, and so on.

Name him, Seer Sykke, really unsure of what I think of it, kinda don’t like it.

I feel so dumb for struggling with naming a toon on a video game, lol…

Looks like you may have decided, but if you re-roll I’ll offer some advice.

With Asura, I like to follow the lore based naming convention (such as two consonants), for example my female Asura Mesmer is named: Trixxzi.

Male Asura with their single syllable names, might have a favorite element, so maybe some of these names:

Heatt
Hellt (helter skelter lol)
Burrn
Rokk
Brezz
Aangg

Or funny/punny names can sometimes be amusing too:

Orkinn (Asura view other races/species as vermin, hence Orkin man)
Small Fry
Pinto Blaster
etc.

have 2 elementalists and notice my asura ele even with full zerk survives alot better compared to my celestial human ele.

Asura of course! And not just because they have tiny animations…it’s because they are adorable! All of their animations are just so over the top. I leveled up a human ele and an asura one but ended up deleting the human, because the human burning speed couldn’t hold up to the asura. Since I have to stare at this character for hours and hours, I figured I should enjoy it. I am enraptured with the asura and the ele dance of skill usage.

Ele tend to have many ways to clear conditions, and using a utility slot to clear a few is a waste, especially with this profession. Asura give you access to poison and weakness in an area…you get a daze and you get confusion you can add to your general toolbox. Much better options.
