Guild Wars 2

Made it to levl 52 as Ele. Pure PvE. I hate the game now. Im just mashing the same buttons in the same way I would playing WoW.
For most NPCs:
Run backward in a circle, hit some keys, change attunements, hit more keys, change attunements, repeat 20 times until the single NPC is dead. Then watch the warrior run over, argo 5 guys and kill them all with 2-3 attacks.

For NPCs with ranged attack:
Run away if your fighting more then 1 because you cant take more then 4 hits without dieing and you cant dodge ALL of their attacks. Then watch the warrior run over and eviscerate them with hundred blades wail taking 10 arrows to the chest and not even losing a 1/4 of his HP.

Just wondering if they buffed the ele yet? (atleast in PvE)

tl;dr
I dont care about PvP at all.

I played Ele back in GW1 and im extremely disappointed about:

1. How much work it takes for an Ele to kill something compared to other professions.

2. How quickly we die in comparison to the low damage we deal.

3. About how the gameplay is nothing but kiting and spamming spells. (Their is really no reason not for me to cast 70% of my spells with any weapon set as soon as they come off CD)

And Im wondering (hoping) if they fixed any of this since I last played. (about a week and a half ago)

I haven’t played ele as far as you, but I agree they are underpowered in both pvp and pve.

I have played all of the professions to at least 10 and I died quite a bit on elementalist… weak autoattack, relatively easy to miss with the rest of the abilities.

clearly he is complaining that he has to hit way more skills (and more time) to kill the same things.

More information would be useful such as what weapon your using, what attunements your using, what skills/elite your using.

I ask because I am wrecking things with my ele that my warrior can’t even touch.

Yet at the same time he´s complaining that all he´s confrontations don´t require enough work, that he does some skill cycles like in wow….and then he proceeds to say that he wants it to be even less and that he wants to be able to press 2 buttons and be done with it…i´m confused

I hate to say I feel the same way, but I do. The only time I get excited is during a big mob zerg during an event, where I can drop all of my aoe’s and watch big numbers pop up.

Our glass cannon build is terrible, so I tried a fire/earth build for condition duration/damage. I last a little longer in fights but it takes a lot longer to kill mobs.

When I watch a warrior or a thief go bang bang bang 3 buttons and a mob dies, makes me dislike my class a little more each time.

I hope we get fixed soon.

Yeah, I notice this as well.

I can take out multiple mobs generally on my Ele, though sometimes it can get iffy, and I may have to bail out.

Whereas on my Guardian I can leap into a pack of 5+ mobs, kill them all in about 5-8 seconds and be able to do it again immediately after.

Edit: Forgot to mention. My Ele is in full Exotic gear, minus the backpack and breather. Guardian isn’t 80 yet and wearing blues/greens :p
