When it comes down to choosing a Race for my Ele, currently I am running as a Asura, which is neat mind you, the animations and the commentary he makes when using abilities and such, is neat, but as for the bad part, me not being able to see gear and enjoy the aesthetics from gearing up, ect.

Reason why I rolled asura was because I wanted to make one, I’ve always been interested in the race itself, and it’s animations are enjoyable to see, the one thing is, as I said, the scale at which my gear is seen on him, makes me feel just to see gear better, I’de be better off re-rolling to Silvari/Human, but don’t know if that’s enough just to see the pretty pixels, lol…

Any advice on race, and why you chose it, would be very appreciated.

Female human meta is strong

There is no reason really. Anet made race choice irrelevant, because all of the racial skills just pale in comparison to the class skills. There is a couple of exceptions to this; I’ve seen sylvari thiefs run healing seed when roaming, asura mesmers use technobabble and norns use bear form to skip some fractal content, but that’s about it.

I don’t think I have seen an elementalist build that utilized any racial skill.
