Are we getting another balance patch soon to add this? Any ideas?

WP did talk about that but he was playing a test version. Some changes could have been made since then. He may have not noticed some of the weaver traits being used.

A lot of things are pointing out to another balance patch just before or at exp launch.

I wouldnt expect to see anything to do with new mechanics hit live until the expansion goes live.

I think the patch we got last weak was part 1 of 2. Part 2 only going to come after the expason is out. Reaper going to get that condi nerf because of the new elite spec but until then the necro class will have no condi at all if they did the full update. I think barrier is some what in the same boat and why all the dmg in the game seems higher atm. Part 2 will be barrier and real class roll changes.

So be ready for tempest to be hit agen in dps but maybe it will get barrier as well as the core ele. Not sure if core ele dps will get or not.

I have the feeling it’s gonna be “grants a barrier when you get an aura” sort of stuff on Earth trait line. Sounds uninspired, but wouldn’t be that bad.

That maybe too much but i would love to see it hehe. More then likely something like rock solid is going to be a barrier on earth swap. There was some though that AoE will get a barrier too.

I really like Stab on earth swap, i hope it won’t be replaced by barrier. Core ele has already so few stab options. But if it’s a bonus i’m all in. Balance wise, i think they’re going to buff earthen blast. Maybe remove the negligible damage from swapping to earth to get a barrier instead.

The stab is kind of weak as things stand i am not sure if it worth holding onto and often is used because nothing is better for support (the only aoe stab effect ele has).

I would love to see barrier on auras but not at a high amount. This means that tempest the main support class who can put out a lot of auras will stay king of support. Core ele will have a bit of less support effect as they cant put out as many auras and weaver would have the least use as they put out even fewer auras (leap auras maybe a braking point of this balancing thought).

Keep in mind tempest is support core ele is balanced and weaver is what seems to be pure dmg. That should be how barrier need to be used in mind with the core ele class. So something that weaver can get a lot out of it would not work but if tempest can get a lot out of it will work with core ele being the in-between.
