My biggest problem with conjured weapons right now (in both PvE and PvP) is that when kitten hits the fan, you have to drop the conjured weapon to get most of your control/ healing back. By the time things get settled down again, you see some bully whirling around with the other Fiery Greatsword you conjured.

I think it’d be great if conjured weapons acted as an elementalists second weapon. When the weapon was conjured, you could weapon swap back to your original weapon set. The weapon swap would go on a 9~10 seconds cooldown (like all other classes) before you could swap back to the conjured weapon. The conjured weapon would still stick around for the same amount of time as it did before (roughly 60 seconds I think?)

This would let elementalists keep some of their versatility when using a conjured weapon. It would also let us use our conjured weapons as attack combos. Image being able to throw out a ring of fire, swap back to your greatsword, and use a whirl finisher.

Obviously, some balance changes might have to be made to the conjured weapons, and multiple conjured weapons would have to be looked at. I think this would be a fun change for elementalists.

I like this idea. However, to keep them from outshining Engie kits, we would have to get some kind of nerf to the amount of time or charges with the weapons. I’m totally fine with that though, Eles are probably the best combo makers in the game, so adding to that would be awesome.

I think conjures need either time limits, or charges, but no both. They should have left the trait that made them break stuns :[ .

One weird idea would be to actually have conjures merged and have it just flat out replace your weapon skills. Use ‘conjure weapon’ and you have the lava axe, swap to air and now its a lighting hammer etc, and dropping it would just get you back to your weapon skills. The weapon you spawn would be double of the one respective to element you were attuned to. Or letting you replace your attuements with thier respective conjures would nice. That would make things like the staff more appealing because you could have ‘single target attunement’ to go to at the cost of not having that attuement’s weapon skills. I have no idea if either are viable from a balancing stand point, probably not.
