At least? A simple MH sword is 12 new skills. Be glad they aren’t just doing another OH again.

We never got a mainhand weapon with any of the elites last time

So considering the whole fashion wars thing this request makes sense because if you get a mainhand sword what are you going to put in your offhand? The warhorn while it would look weird too is locked to the Tempest so its out leaving just the dagger and focus. Between the two I’d say dagger would look better paired with a sword however a sword would offhand would look so much better than a dagger.

This is a life time thing too because if you get a sword and lets say the next elite is a shield you’ll never be able to pair the two since there locked to elites.

Aren’t we a tad demanding? Some professions will only receive an off-hand weapon and ele has 4 attunements…

What I’m hoping for with this next expansion is MH sword and the next one, GS. We definitely don’t need another OH with a new MH. The professions that got a 2H weapon for HoT better get an OH. I’ll be kittened if they also get a MH.

Eh, nothing wrong with pairing a sword with a dagger or focus in my mind. Thieves and rangers already do sword/dagger, and guardians and mesmers already do sword/focus. Both offhands would pair well with a melee weapon (assuming sword is melee in at least some attunements).

I am a bit dissapointed since we dont really have any good OH weapon to pair it with Sword MH, same thing happened with OH warhorn, the MHs are bad (except Dagger-lighting auto-attack, everything else feels terrible to use).

From what im hearing, Ele will get 2 attunements instead of 4 with its Elite Spec.

You will not only get MH sword but also Dualwielding Skills so actually you get more than just 12 new skills.

…a dagger? Two swords is weirder than sword and dagger.

Alternatively, there are a bunch of focus skins. The two options that stand out as going with a sword are the various book skins, and the whip.

Couldn’t agree more. Dual-wielding swords is awesome, and we’ll never get it if we’re locked to main-hand now.
