So I was at 100% health and there was a guardian attacking me while I was rez’ing a team mate, so I hit Mist Form. When it ended I was instant killed by hitting myself for 17k. Can someone explain what happened?

Means that you died from condi while in mist form.

Are you sure you don’t mean vapor form? Because all mist form is is invulnerability with a fancy animation, you can die from conditions while in mist form, and doing so shouldn’t wait until the end of the effect to kill you.

Vapor form (the downed skill) on the other hand, basically appears to kill you because it gives you HP when you cast it, to temporarily get you out of the downed state, and then it takes that HP away when mistform ends. So if your HP drops enough from conditions while in vapor form, the HP it takes away at the end will kill you.

Likely, but you are immune to new conditions afaik while in Mist Form. The guardian maybe hit me twice before I went mist to finish the rez. I can’t image a few stacks of burning killing me outright within the duration if Mist Form.

No ss of the combat log?
Won’t reveal all but it can be used to figure some things.
