Is D/D Cele Ele still good for WvW?
I think it´s still good with tempest or without. Warrios might be a problem. I don´t use daggers but play ele main with S/F :-). I play a hybrid and while i win against thiefs and basically anny highly offensive build i have troubles bringing down warriors and trolling bunker eles are impossible to kill for me. The cronos are my nemesis but i don´t use water i think if you have a heavy cleanse ele its winable, because the crono´s defence is breakable i usualy loose due to constant and quite fast condi application and can only mitigate two condi bursts + the crono is to tanky to kill it fast enough but water cele might wear him down. Basically i try to ignore cronos. The wanderer (dire) Condi cronos are OP in 1:1 or very small scale combat in wvw.

I was thinking of mixing some Zerk pieces though for some raw damage but yeah I dont intend on fighting any bunker builds or Condi Chronos at all.
One problem I think I’m seeing here is that D/D Ele feels as if it could get kited so easily (I’m hoping that isn’t the case) whereas in sPvP during its glory days, people were forced to fight over a small space giving builds like this the upper hand. Even, the whole pretense of running the S/F build is so that you have much bigger range, to counter ranged and those who could possibly run away, and also allow you to kite like crazy.
It is still very good. Its actually easier to might stack than before using overload and very short CD but a pew pew kiting druid with LB and staff would really wreck you.
My mix is viper + cele + a bit rabid. Ele does a mix of condi + power damage so i prefer this setup. I am very compftable with about 2600 armor and 16k HP. And yes i play a kiting build with scepter that can fight hard close up with overloads and shouts.
Main issue with my build in wvw roaming is mobility to escape or chatch so basicaly i win or die :-). (I have permaswifness to run around it´s just a bit klicky)
My build is earth/arcane/tempest .Previous fire instead of arcane but CD swap bug got fixed which finaly made me use it and i enjoy arcane again. I think you can do any single elemet build + arcane and tempest that works but if you miss earth or water you will feel the lower survivability. Unfortunately ele seems to need at least one defensive element traited to live.
Here is my equipemen and i like it that way :-)
Pick an element as you like it.
This is my jack of all base setup. I have a cele amulett at hand if i am in the mood but my jade wind orb feels better :-) Also i may change food and utility but mostly run precision oil.

It would be godsend if boon duration of Imbued Melodies work on all weapons.
It is decent but not great. Scrapper and druid are better bruisers at the moment.
To make a d/d work, you need to spend some time optimizing your stats. Don’t go for full cele. You will lack damage to take out even the squishy enemies. You want to mix in marauder/crusader for better damage. Then use the durability runes which covers both your defense and boon duration.
The best traitline choice, I think, is water/arcana/tempest. Water/earth/tempest also works, but it is better for support purpose. For 1v1, you need a bit more damage to win fights.
