Whenever I use a dagger I feel crippled and get impatient by its low damage and slow attack speed of impale. When is it beneficial to use it?

Eh….. My elementalist is mainly d/d and I hardly ever find myself using impale.. Could it use a buff? umm I’m not the one to say because like I said I hardly use it.

Most of the time when I go to earth attunement it is because I am cc’d out of others or I swap to it mid dodge to get my blast finisher and basically use earth 4 and 5 as might stackers… Or use earth 5 with teleport as a deadly aoe hit when might stacks…

Other times I swap to earth is to use 3 to chase a guy down or root him.. The only other skill I use in earth would be 2 which does give a nice cripple/bleed..

But overall I hardly use auto while in earth. I find earth offers more as a blast finisher/might stacking/water healing/what ever else you want to stack…

It has 2 uses if you aren’t condi-built:

-When you are LOSing the target, it hits through/around the impediment. I’m not sure, but you might also be able to hit targets behind you if you are being chased.
-When the target is on a different elevation than you (especially relevant in certain pvp maps). This also applies to churning earth (it hits very high up above your position).

I found myself using impale to kill mordrem husks. This auto-attack is quite lame tbh: you can’t inflict a decent amount of bleeds to be effective.

i tried building for it once didnt work very well …. i gave up EVERYTHING for a few bleeds and burns on the plus side fgs 2 was suddenly very effective if i immobilized my target before using it

Pretty much only time I use it is for waiting out a warrior endure the pain, or if I am locked out of just about everything else due to chill or a rotation failure.
