Q:

All other classes have a reduce falling damage trait with the exception of elementalists. Are there any plans in the near future to give us such a trait?

We are not the only ones I am pretty sure. Even if we had one I most likely wouldn’t use it as it doesn’t seem very practical, at least not enough to take the place of another trait (depending on the tree). Besides, we make up for that by being able to keep a sustained swiftness boon up 90% of the time with staff lol.

They should give us a slow fall in the air trait line!

It does seem kind of odd that Elementalist is the only profession without one but these traits seem incredibly situational anyway.

About maintaining swiftness.. with the build I’m currently using, I can maintain swiftness 100% of the time. Although it seems to be glitched or something because I can only get the timer on swiftness to say 1m even though I can stack it higher. I guess there’s a cap for some reason at 1m 59s.

Yes because that would totally instantly fix elementalist problems. I knew there was a reason they were so weak. Its because we have no reduced fall damage.

If you’ve played enough WvW, you know how invaluable the reduced falling damage traits can be. It really hinders Elementalists’ ability to keep up with groupmates on WvW maps when all of their allies can all take quicker routes to objectives because they don’t have to worry about falling to their death.

True, with elementalists it’s always a faceplant into the ground, you take durability loss and 4 other people have to pick you up as fast as they can if you’re being chased. Sucks.

Not really constructive to the post, but sure did make me laugh. Must clean up the coffee I just spit out.
