Is there any way to turn off spell queue?
Maguuma
Nope. How do you play that it bothers you so much?
It can be super annoying on Thief, though.
It should be a toggle or an option (ie. allow us to customize the delay for spell queue and turn it off entirely).

How do I play? Fractions of a second at a time I guess. Pvp situations change far too quickly for spell queuing to be anything but detrimental. It’s especially annoying because for whatever reason, they made it so that if you get disabled, instead of cancelling the queue, it just waits until you get back up. Meaning you’re stuck with a command you inputted 1-2 seconds ago, which is unacceptable. I don’t want any kind of options, I just want to turn it off.

I’d be happy if I didn’t have to hit skills 2 or 3 times before the server reacted.

Agree, looking forward to disable spell queing as well, really annoying when you get knocked down and the spells are still queued and fired once you get up. Can we get any dev atention anyhow? Pretty sure it can be an easy fix.

This drives me nuts too. Also the fact that some of our “instant” spells actually have hidden cast times due to animations.

I have this problem with Fire Grab. Although it takes 3/4 second to cast, I can’t cast another non-instant spell for an extra 3/4 of a second.
I find it hampers me sometimes too. Two instances I find that it hurts the most:
1. It can affect combos. Sometimes a queue can make my finisher go off to late, too early, or not at all, depending on the sequence of field > finisher.
2. Is it just me or can abilitiy queuing also affect your downed state? For example, I feel that I often activate mist form when downed because I had “2” queued before I got downed, even if I don’t hit 2 while downed. It seems that way anyway… it can truly be life or death in that case.
GW2 seems to have so many customizations in other areas of the game but unfortunately not in the options menu.
(Off topic but somewhat related – the graphics options are very limited; changing post processing for example changes bloom, outline on targets, lighting, etc. etc. I do wish there were more specific options).

2 is a known bug.
I hope ‘2’ is a know bug. Mist form gives you double downed penalty (which is BS in my mind anyways)
and Fire 4 …. is heal when downed, and a backflip off a cliff etc when you get back up.
At the very least, they could unhook the downed and regular bar skills (or remap them to different key sets)
just press escape if you accidentally cast something
