You lose stacks if you swap weapons now.
… I’ll let someone much better at dungeoning than me answer the rest.

You lose stacks if you change equipped weapons, and you can only stack with one weapon at a time – D/D with dual bloodlust will still only give one bloodlust stack per kill.
They (finally) actually fixed it, so ganksquads in WvW can’t run around with 25 bloodlust, use other sigils, and camp spawns.

Ah, so this was a recent change/fix? So I guess for non-staff weapons, one of them will use bloodlust/perception and the other is % proc on crit?
Don’t bother with stacking sigils anymore. It’s just not worth it.
Yeah I believe the current best way to go about it is just to bring as much consistent dps as possible – force or accuracy or maybe fire/air, along with a <slaying> sigil for any particular dungeon.
Scepter: Force
Dagger(Main Hand): Force
Dagger(Off hands): Night, Energy, Slaying(Undead/Outlaw)
Focus: Night, Energy, Slaying(Undead/Outlaw)
Staff: Force+Night, Energy, Slaying(Undead/Outlaw)
If you want to spare your inventory, just use the Energy Off-hands in Day time Dungeons
This is What my Ele’s Inventory looks like for Dungeons:
Ah, okies. I always find Sigil of Force to be useful. Energy, Fire, Air, and Night sigils seem also useful.
Thank you everyone! And nice inventory setup, Acotje! It’s always good to have extra room for more loot.
I totally feel you on mesmer. I made one as my first character soley because it was different from other MMOS and the clones and purple butterflies were pretty. But that class is currently a total disapointment even if it pretty!
Anyway when I used to pve on my ele, I did things very simply since I’m kazual at pve. I just did one of each weapon with force/accuracy and only ran staff, D/F S/D or S/F, with the sigils spread across them so they don’t double up.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various

Sorry to ask another question, but this time it’s runes. I know that Strength/Scholar are ideal choices. Sadly, they’re also expensive for me. I’m currently using Runes of the Privateer until I can get the ideal runes. Would that suffice or are there other runes that are inexpensive and/or easy to acquire that’s better?
Copy/Paste from Haviz’ and Zelhyn’s guide on Dulfy
Rune of the Ranger
Cheap alternative (2-3 times cheaper) to Rune of the Scholar. Instead of Power, it focuses on Precision. It’s 6th bonus might look like it was much harder to maintain but it works while your miniature is active.
Rune of the Flame Legion
The cheapest choice of all runes in that list. As all runes here, it focuses on Power but instead of Ferocity or additional Might duration, it concentrates on burning duration. Similarly to Rune of Strength, its 6th bonus is directly tied to its secondary focus. That is, this rune grants +7% damage bonus as long as your enemies are burning which is easy to keep, especially with a guardian in your party.
Ruby Orb
Used to be decent and cheap alternative to Rune of the Scholar (especially when having troubles with maintaining 90% HP threshold) but Ferocity implementation made it even worse. Increases Power, Ferocity and Precision.

Was experimenting with Privateer Rune earlier and I think I’ll just try to get one of those 3 (Ranger/Flame Legion/Ruby Orb). I was curious if any other runes would suffice, but I guess not. Thank you, Acotje!
Edit: I was looking through the TP and saw Ogre and Brawler runes. Do they work well?
(edited by Phloww.1048)
Ogre’s pet will pull mobs, they are even worse then ranger pets.
The small boost of toughness wont be any good on Brawler and 6 rune bonus is meh.
I did not that about the Ogre’s pet. o.o
Guess I’ll try to get one of the 3 cheapest alternatives until I can afford Strength/Scholar/Hoelbrak runes. Thanks again!
