Lava Font Cooldown
Yea, always wondered the same.
It is true, checked that and 4s duration / 4s coldown, but lava font actually go on cd with delay. Idk if intended or bug, but imo bug or at least something that I would like to change. Lava font ends while 1,5s still on recharge.

default cooldown is 6 secs, it’s only 4 seconds with Pyromancer’s Training. That delay after you cast Lava Font is an after-cast, or an animation following the cast. The casting animation is ~.2 seconds, and the after-cast animation is ~.2 seconds. So approximately .4 second delay between two consecutive fonts with Pyromancer’s Training and no Persisting Flames. If you add Persisting Flames than the first font will disappear as soon as you finish casting the second font. As far as I can tell it’s working as intended.
Lava font is not an instant spell. It has a cast time and an aftercast time. The total animation time of the spell is close to half a second.
Therefore it is working as intended that the cooldown starts only a bit after you start casting the spell. This is the case for all spells that are not instant: the cooldown only starts when the animation is complete.
But there is a twist: unless you queue up a spell while you cast lava font (and a lot of other spells) then the cooldown will indeed take longer than intended to start. In order to avoid this, always spam the auto-attack button while your character is casting lava font.

So only that part could be changed.
With part about cast time and after cast animation can understand that it is mechanic for this kind of skills.
Thanks for the explanations. Another reason why I can’t take hardcore pve/pvp seriously in this game. So many things hidden and unnecessary, makes theorycrafting a pita.
Oh well, still enjoying the game atleast. Thanks again.
