You’ll keep channeling and ramping up the Meteor Storm, even if you flash out of normal casting range or lose line of sight. So you could, say, walk up to a keep wall in WvW, start your channel, and then flash away before you get AoEd, pulled, or interrupted.

Maybe this is common knowledge but it just clicked for me. Mind = blown.

Another good combo, Churning Earth>Lightning Flash to foe.

Instant cast skills are useable while channeling, can also use Lightning Bolt while channeling Churning Earth assuming Scepter is equipped

Oh yeah, I knew about that one. I just realized it worked here too.

You can use any “instant skill” in the middle of any “cast time” skill, for instance if you start casting meteor shower you can immediately switch to earth and put up magnetic aura so you are reflecting ranged attacks the whole time you are casting it.

It’s also used with earthquake for some burst builds iirc.

They already said this was by design as it’s a strategy to use
