Looks like somewhere in the ANet chain there is a belief that the skill is supposed to be a stunbreak?
Or just wishful thinking on my part and they just blindly copypasted the patch change from the other blink skills.

I’m betting on copy paste.

Used to be, not anymore, guess they are just lazy to edit manually.

And i was hoping they’d make it back as a stunbreak… still downloading though…

So many nerfs to keep track off for ele… maybe their excel sheet is full.

You’ve always been able to use Lightning Flash regardless of what status you are in. For example if you are stunned, you can still Lightning Flash but the stun remains for the duration (So if you teleport away while 2s stun remaining, you will still be stunned for 2s).

What it likely means is that it will still function like the old method while stunned. So right now if you try to target a bad location, it says you can’t teleport there. Previously it’d put you as close to the area as you clicked. So if you are stunned, it will teleport you as close as you can to that area and if not it will print out a message saying you can’t port there.

my reading skills are not that great but does this mean you can’t port to higher elevations?

edit: nevermind, just looked at the pvp forum and now it should just work more reliably.

Yea, it was once a stunbreak but due to the amount of viable stunbreaks eles already have access too, they removed it. I can’t complain though, it would be quite OP tbh. Imagine a D/D ele with ANOTHER stunbreak… makes me shiver just thinkin about it.

They didn’t remove it, they moved it to Signet of Air (and Cleansing Fire’s to Glyph of Elemental Power).

Lightning Flash can still be used to strategically teleport out of a stun combo. It just doesn’t actually break the stun anymore.

It’s still useful for borking up someone who thought they could open a chain on you since they nailed the intial stun.

Well yea of course its still useful, was just explaining the reasoning behind it.
