Here’s the new Lightning Whip skill change:

  • Lightning Whip skill: Now strikes targets in a similar angle to other melee ranged skills.

Not being much of a melee player, how different is this going to feel when using LW?

THIS IS THE GREATEST CHANGE EVER, THANK YOU ANET.

No really. This is a huge quality of life change for D/D Elementalists. More players will probably play the D/D Ele now that Lightning Whip won’t miss all the time.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this change.

how different is this going to feel when using LW?

very nice
- it had a horribly tight cleave cone before; if its on par with other melee weapons (looking at warr axe) its going to be much nicer for cleave

oh… kitten … just read the other thread and realised if its exactly the same then it would lose its 300 range… which would suck; big time

I needed that fix in february. Soloing lupi in phase 1 just became much less frustrating without constant misses on swarms.
