Lingering elements still don't work...
But hey, they added 2 nice extra things to a trait that havent work since beta.
I noticed it work uncorrectly:
the bonus of +80 toughness appear only when you swap elements 2 time.
Example:
You start from Earth (bonus +80 toughness), Swap to Air/Fire/Water (no bonus here), swap another time a different Element you’ll have +80 toughness for the remaining time of 5 sec after first swap..

I’m not on a computer that can run GW2, so could someone please tell me if the other minor traits (Flame Barrier, Zephyr’s Speed, Soothing Mist) all work with Lingering Elements now?

I find Lingering Elements behaves as Ringil describes. The toughness bonus from Stone Flesh is applied after swapping attunements a second time, but not after the initial swap out of Earth. As for the “now always grants” bits, I’m not sure what they mean. Did at some point these attunement bonuses not always apply while still in that same attunement? Was it even more bugged than we realize? (Not as far as I know.) Unclear.
It’s one thing for something to be bugged. It’s another whole level of oversight to falsely claim to have fixed an issue. This is not the first time this has happened, and I certainly doubt it will be the last. Appealing to the complexity of programming a game is not a valid defense, and I’m tired of hearing it. This is a failure of QA.
They either know that it still doesn’t work or they don’t. Which is worse?

At this point, I’m wondering wheter it’d be better to design a new trait…it’s obviously a complex issue, or they’d have fixed it properly by now.

Either is too complex to fix it or they just dont care at all , im going for both since if it is too complex they can just change it for another thing. its only been over a year.
They ought to get better programmers. Or at least programmers who actually care and take pride in their work.
To have a bug for 1 year and now claim to have fix it (finally) but to find out that it is still bugged shows a lot about the work attitude in the company.

D/D ele isn’t going anywhere it will stay the same you can run the same build then as you can now. They aren’t moving renewing stamina and elemental attunement together. Elemental will move to master renewing will stay at adept.
You could say D/D is getting slight buffs with windborne dagger getting OOC movement speed. Which doesn’t seem like much but if you ever ran without 10 in air it is a pretty nice change imo.

Don’t speak too soon. Last night in fractals, I had vapor form fail to activate (but happily go on CD) every other time I went down. I was also unable to ever get Glyph of Renewal (earth or water) to successfully revive anyone.
ArenaNet often includes in their patch notes “fixes” which are not true. I am not sure who they think they are fooling.
