Im a newly dinged 80, and seeking some guidance.

First, id like to say that im going to play PvP and PvE. Like 60/40% – if that helps you.

I got 51k karma to use, and 0 dungeon tokens. Therefore im looking to buy exotic stuff on AH.

After reading alot of posts, ive found out that having PVT armor set, and with “berserker” kinda jewelry – would be good for me?

Here is my problem ; AH doesnt sell these PVT armors. So im considering doing this :

Buy 3x Valkyrie parts : (Power, Vitality, Crit)

What do you think about this option ?

PS. Id love to hear what kinda runes you would recommend for my setup? Or is “Superior Rune of Divinity” still the best for me ?

Edit: It would also help which weapon you’d like to main. And Superior Runes of Divinity are more expensive and WORST than Crest/Orbs.

Thanks for the answer. But the question was if its good to start with 3x Valkyrie parts, and 3x Knight parts – since i cant buy the PVT gear on AH.

Might aswell grab a staff and hop into AC then with those gear choices if you want to run D/D

Yeah, but i still need some armor to start with. And im still not certain which one to buy from AH :-(

From everything I have read, you really should consider Sapphire Jewelry (P/T/H) instead of Ruby (P/Pre/Crit Dmg) for WvWvW. Something to think about.

As for your armor, you can actually get most (no legs, unfortunately) of your P/V/T pieces from Karma vendors in Orr:

- Helm: Mortal or Whispering set
- Shoulders: Arcon set
- Chest: Armageddon or Mortal set
- Gloves: Armageddon or Arcon set
- Legs: No P/V/T legs so you might just have to suck it up and run AC for those.
- Feet: Armageddon, Mortal or Whispering set

Starting out, I think you could easily get by with splitting between Knight’s and Valkyrie until you get enough krama/tokens to buy your target set. Honestly, dungeons really aren’t all that tough to being with. You could walk into about any Exp mode in greens and do just fine if you are a competent player.

If you are worried about WvWvW, just stay with the zerg until you have the gear you feel you need before you start roaming.
