To all experienced eles I would like to know how well this build Is performing with the menders amulet.

I was just about to post about this build. I used a mild variation of it, menders seems to be a good replacement for cele. In fact I almost have better sustain and damage. Too early to tell for sure but it’s a promising early amulet.

I tried Mender’s and I too believe it’s a good replacement for celestial in the auramancer build, however I don’t think going full power is a good option for this build.

Have you tried Sage’s amulet with Doom + Geomancy? It’s more diverse dps (great condi pressure) and what I’ve noticed to be the closest to what Celestial used to be.

Ha! I was running the same build! (only heal skill differs) camping on earth most of the time, it work wonders, problem is even with 1k power it dealt little damage and no condi pressure at all…. what I did and improved it a lot was to switch to D/D and use Conjure fiery greatsword as elite … being able to deal damage on earth!

With a staff tempest build I never had that much condi pressure to begin with. I think mender’s still makes more sense for staff. For other weapons sage’s could be better.

I also think mender + earth water tempest is the best way to go in pvp.
Sage, in other hand, is good with Dagger focus with geomancy and doom, but I think the damage output from mender is better than the condi pressure of sage

And use Merc’s Amulet and be a selfish tempest.

Actaully I made a build almost exactly like yourse, except I go dagger/dagger and use DS. So far I have few problems, have great dps and can even tank vs1-2 at a point and win sometimes. The only problem I see are the bloody corruption Necromancers.

Every shout gives me protection, vigor, regeneration and an aura + 1.4k healing… and when a corruption necro comes along I get 5-7 condis and just melt unless I manage to clear off a few and stay I the fight so I get hit and remove them by DS.

Corruption necro is a real hardcounter.
