Mesmer’s Critical Infusion is 5 point Minor Trait in their Dueling line.

Guardian’s Vigorous Precision is 5 point Minor Trait in their Honor line.

I have to ask … why does ANet feel that Elementalists Renewing Stamina warrants being a 20 point Major Trait in the Arcane line?!?!

If there is any justice you should make Renewing Stamina the 5 point Minor Trait in Air … replacing the nonsense that is Zephyr’s Speed. Then come up with something new for Arcane … maybe something that actually makes Arcane spells actually preferable to Cantrips?!?

Just accept it now and stop looking at how pathetic the class is. Bad and getting worse (if you prefer d/d, especially). Just re-roll at this point. Even when eles are down and out, they insist on nerfing. If major nerfs are still coming at this point, someone REALLY does have a vendetta for the class.

Disclaimer: I really am trying to be an optimist, and have for so long…But its just so hard when you keep getting crapped on over and over to think that its gonna turn around at some point.

Yeah … I am still pondering why Armor of Earth is a 90 second cooldown for 6 seconds of duration … while Balance Stance is a 40 second cooldown for 8 seconds of duration.

Then there is:
1. Blink vs Lightning Flash.
2. RTL vs … well … lets not go there.

Elementalist just has a tradition of being crapped on.

Not true Evoneva. Counting the conjured weapons Eles have 40 skills at their disposal. Five are elite skills with crazy fast cooldowns. <sarcasm> I, for one, always cast all 40 skills in under 5 seconds, so my Ele will get all the benefit of what the year’s worth of nerfs were based upon. In addition I slot every glyph and every cantrip for maximum effectiveness. Why everyone does not do that I do not know.</sarcasm>

I’ve tried Vigorous Scepter, it doesn’t seem to give its boost if you’re holding a conjured weapon…
If it would I wouldn’t mind losing Renewing Stamina.

The Mesmer equivalent is in the line the provides Precision. Obvious synergy. “You like crits right? You like things that proc-on-crit too, right?”

The Guardian one is not – but look at the other 2 minor traits in its line – the entire line is about dodge, dodge, and dodge again, even if you aren’t being threatened you had better be dodging!

Teleports:
Blink: 30s cd, breaks stun. Can be traited for 1200 range.
Lightning flash: 40s cd, doesn’t break stun. Can’t be traited for 1200 range.
Thief: Let’s not even go there.

CC duration reduction:
Ele- Geomancer’s Freedom: Reduce duration of crippled, immobilized, and chilled by 33%. Major 20 point trait
Warrior- Dogged March: Same as above, plus regen. Major 10 point trait.

Invuln:
Ele- Mist form: 3s invuln, 75s cd. can’t use other skills for duration, can’t cap points. Can’t trait for automatic mist form at certain hp threshold.
Engineer- Elixer S: Same as above, 60s CD. Can trait to get a second elixer S automatically.
Warrior- Endure pain: 4s invuln, can use other skills and cap points. 60s CD. Can trait to get a second endure pain automatically.

Gap closers/creators:
Ele- RTL: 20s cd, 40s if you miss, lag, get blocked, your opponent dodges, or you didn’t pick a target because you were trying to use it to run away.
Warrior- Rush: 20s cd. Period.
Ranger- Swoop: 12s cd. period.

X on dodge traits:
Ele- 30 point major trait (has an internal CD)
Mesmer and ranger- 20 point major trait
Guardian- 15 point minor trait
Necro- 10 point major trait (only other one with an internal CD)
Warrior and engineer- 5 point minor trait
Thief- 5 point minor for swiftness, 15 point minor to return some endurance after dodging, 10 point major for might on dodge, 10 point major to drop caltrops.

Passive movement speed boosts:
Ele- Windborne dagger. only 25% movement increase with d/d (15% with d/f, 10% with s/d) 20 point major (will be 10 point): doesn’t work outside of combat
Warrior- Warrior’s sprint. 25% movement speed increase on any set besides rifle or longbow. 10 point major. Works outside of combat.
Necro- Quickening thirst. 20 point major. Identical to windborne dagger except it works outside of combat.

tl;dr:
in most cases we have to invest more points to get a weaker version of something another profession has, on a longer cooldown. Clearly our vigor on crit trait was too close to being equal to mesmer and guardians’ so it had to be nerfed. Next will probably be soothing mist since it’s better than warriors’ regen trait when they have 0 adrenaline.

Lingering elements no longer works with soothing mist. That would mean only the best trait ever would work with it.

You’re not the only one. Enginer also needs to spend 20 points for vigor on crit. Or 30 for 50% endurance regen.
