Heys, I just wanted to put this out there pre-patch and hope for ArenaNet to take a look at this thread post-patch.

The biggest reason I go this deep into this tree is first of all the Attunement recharge rate (which is going to get fixed and that’s great). My 2nd reason for going that deep into the tree is the trait Evasive Arcana. If I don’t have this I will be one squishy Elementalist why don’t you move it down to Master tier and keep “Elemental Attunement”=(While attuning to an element you and your allies gain a boon) in the Adept tier. Then we wouldn’t have to spend 30 points in Arcana for that one trait.

In other words, make Evasive Arcana a Master trait and keep Elemental Attunement an Adept trait, you’d spare us Elementalists 10 points in which we could spend on earth/air. Honestly.

Water & Arcana Traits are getting a nerf by being moved into grand master/adept so forth- which I don’t find makes much sense. If you want to promote build diversity- Don’t move traits into higher tiers- that means the person who wants 1 ability out of water or arcana & that ability is now unfortunately in a higher tier than before, they have to pump more points into that traitline- which doesn’t promote build diversity. That’s how I see it.

I completely agree with you, moving traits up a tier that shouldn’t really be there forces us to spend even more points to get a hold of them – pointless indeed. It is extremely sad…

They should have moved vigor trait (forgot name ;p) to master and leave elemental attunement in adept.

Moving Evasive Arcana to master seems a little overpowered. It’s such an amazing trait. I’d take it even just for the water dodge.

A better idea would be to come up with equally good traits and put them into the other traitlines, but of course that would involve ingenuity and innovation on Anet’s part. That’s what Anet seems to be trying to do with Diamond Skin and Fresh Air.

While I’d love to see EA in Master, it’s probably not going to happen because of how op that would be. Sorry =/

elemental attunement should be inherent to the class but only affect the elementalist. Just give us a trait at master that makes it affect other people. I’d never use it since im alone most of the time and only care about keeping myself alive. But it would be nice to have the option. And I’ve said this many times before. The only reason most people take EA is for the water dodge. easy way to fix this. Combine the water dodge with stop drop and roll, a trait no one ever uses, and add frozen ground to evasive arcana. I’d probably still take EA though because frozen ground is amazing for control. but this would open up more build options atleast.
